A nice little summary of everything from the Brazilian side of things
Real Madrid made offers? No Madrid didnt. Florentino Perez made offers using money from the bank and the Spanish government for Neymar to play for Madrid. Just like he did for Bale and he did for Modric.

Something needs to happen here because both the spanish football clubs keep doing this shit, and the backdoor dealings fucking others over. Really is a shame. Both clubs are a black eye for FIFA and UEFA.

No more like Madrid didn't have the money for the deal so the bank 'loaned' them the money to do the deal.
They didn't loan Madrid the money, Santander has come out said they didn't loan madrid the money
I still don't get it. How do Barcelona evade tax? On import tax for footballers?

And so what if Real Madrid borrowed money and pay in installments? Completely normal.
I think I remember having this conversation in the ITK thread, no pays import tax on signings!

Different if the Autonmous community of Madrid helps them guarantee the loan......

Actually I think its just €100m vs £86m
I believe when the Bale deal was completed, the Spanish papers(Marca) tried to have us believe the fee was less than Ronaldo's(95m euros). Everyone else said record fee at £86m, which converted to 100m euros at the time.

The plot thickens...Spurs might have ended up keeping Bale if he went to Madrid instead!

From what I understand it is not the Spanish Government, Spanish FA or UEFA that Barca, Real, Osasuna and Athletic Bilbao have to worry about its the EU.

If these clubs are made give up their charitable status its going to cost the clubs in terms of tax and also greater examination of their funding. No more selling plots of land for hugely over inflated prices.

Also Valencia are in a ridiculous position being owned by the local government, which is against UEFA rules and also the EU are unhappy that bail out funds are being used to help run a football club.

The only problem is the EU investigation has been going on for years (raised in 2011 with no end in site) and was meant to have been headed by a Spaniard.
