i get us to 68 points, the exact same as City but with inferior GD before we play them so i think we will have to win there again to make it to thr CL.
My nerves only just survived it last year - not again surely?

I did it a week or so ago, but I was very generous with us, we only lost once from now until the end of the season and that was against Chelsea....hmmmm!

I think you might have been a teeny bit optimistic there, sat down at your comp in your rose tinted glasses

Key fixtures for me are
Liverpool v Man City
Then our games vs Arsenal/City & Chelsea (and obviously us not fucking ourselves over against lesser opposition again)

I got us to 70 points, 2 ahead of City.

The Scum actually cruised to the title in the end by 4 points, Chels 2nd & Utd 3rd. I really can see them falling now, they seem weak to me. Starting tonight against Marsielle, their season is gonna crumble.

West brom, Wolves & Wigan to go down, WHam to survive by 2 points.

It's not the big games that i'm worried about, as I think we will get ourselves up for those.

For some reason, and I am usually very optimistic, but WHam this weekend scares the shit out of me :eek:mg:

Clearly our game vs Man C is going to be crucial again. The result of that game might be inversly related to our Champions League performance. We will need to beat City at Eastlands to take 4th and if they only need a draw you dont need to be a tactical mastermind to guess how they are going to play!
Lot depends on getting our key players fit and ready for that game in particular.
We will drop points to the likes of Westham but so will they especially away.

Maybe my bias but I had us 8 points ahead of Man City before we play them. They have Stoke, Sunderland, us, and West Ham left at home. We have Arsenal, Birmingham, Blackpool, Stoke, West Brom, and West Ham. 6 for us, and 4 for them, and theirs are tougher. If we will all 6 home games, that will get us to 66 points and we should only need 3 or 4 from the away games to get 4th. From their point of view, Stoke, Sunderland, and Spurs at home will all be games where they could easily drop points, and they have lost or drawn home games like that this year.

For the away games, Man City have Blackburn, Bolton, Everton, Chelsea, and Liverpool. Can't really see them getting any more than a win against Blackburn. They never beat Everton, Bolton is tough at home, and I think they will lose at Chelsea and Liverpool. We have Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, and Wigan. For some reason I can see us beating one of the first three, probably Man City. I'd also be more likely to bet on us getting a draw or win at Chelsea or Liverpool than them doing it.

So we'll finish 4th.

EDIT: I know this will sound absurd, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if Man City only win 2 or 3 more games this season. That's how tough their run in is, and being knocked out of the FA cup by their bitter rivals would just make it harder.

Yeah, everyone is overestimating them, there's no cohesiveness in that team, dressing room problems, the manager is making poor mistakes, and they have the toughest run in while they will also have the Europa league fixtures to play.

And they aren't as good as us anyway. If we just won our 6 home games we'd be in the Champions league against next season easily.

But, we are Tottenham. I don't think we'll win all our home games. I also think you are under-estimating City as much as others are over-estimating them. They are still there, regardless of the dressing room rifts/the poor decisions etc etc. They are still there. If we are 8 points ahead by the time we play them, they'll be lucky to get 5th, and I cannot believe that will happen.

Yes we are prone to the same fuck ups they are which is why it will be us and them fighting for 4th and not Chelsea. However, how comfortable would you be if we were 5 points ahead of them having played an extra game, but had this run in:

Home: Sunderland, Stoke, Tottenham, West Ham
Away: Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton, Bolton, Wigan.

I'd be thinking shit where are the points we need going to come from? West Ham at home and Wigan away are games we should win, but the remaining games are all really tough. Then I look at our rivals and see they still have to play Birmingham, Blackpool, Stoke, West Brom, West Ham, and Arsenal all at home and I'd be bricking it. I would expect at least four wins, with possible dropping points against Stoke and Arsenal. And both teams have Wigan away which is the only easier away game.

The thing is it's impossible to predict. As Spurs fans it's easy to predict losses and draws but from a neutral perspective you would expect us to rack up the home wins, which will put us far clear of City.

I did this a while ago and have been saying for ages it will come down to our game at City. We have 6 at home. We MUST get 15 points or we can forget about 4th. We also must win at Wigan. The City, L@rse, Pool and Chavs games we must pick up just 3 points.
That will give us 69 points. If we don't qualify with that then it will be a travesty.
