Are you sure Bentley is better than SWP?
SWP has a final ball coupled with pace and strength on the ball. He is a great asset in attack. His main downfall might be his inability to defend (too light-weight and short) but he is a paradigm of a winger.
Assuming Bentley's final ball is about as good as SWP's, then SWP is a better player.
We know that SWP, when given the right number of games, would climb alot higher in the statistics table.
So I don't think your stats are good back-up.
SWP set the Prem alight back in his Man City days - he was a more influential player than Bentley is, with less assistance throughout the squad (hence less space).
I had the exact same thought after reading that. You couldnt see it Saturday, but Peterson is a true left winger. Maybe we can get a two-for-one deal for that 15 million. To dirtdave: I'd say Blackburn's got a left footed Bentley in MGP. Even though he's been poor this year he's a classy player. Not sure if he'd fit into Ramos' ethos?
Not much else to choose from says it all when a 32 year old from a mikey mouse league is picked ahead of him. Not a total ****? How about abandoning the ENG under 21? When they needed him. A tosser
maybe true, but we're 11th in the league.
