On the way home from the Chelsea game, Talksport talked about Berbatov's uninterested attitude in the first half of the Fulham game. They then went on to say how he came on with the rest of the team in the second half, only to be substituted a minute later, and how, for a player, is one of the worst things that can happen to their ego/confidence. Do you think Fergie is starting to lose patience with him?
Shortly after this was said, however, a raging Man u fan phoned in to say he was injured and left the lane in a plaster cast. The radio guy was still convinced that this weren't the case, and nothing was shown or said on MOTD about his injury(unless i missed it!) News of the World wrote how he might have stayed in the changing roomin the second half cos he chipped his nail!

Anyone care?:)

Oh I care . Berbs left us because he wanted to be at a club as big as believed himself to be and to get loads of medals .

This didn't really leave a very nice taste ,though its understandable that he wanted success .

However ,every glitch in his plan does seem to resonate warmly for me . I'm hoping the Utd form loss continues and that they win fuckall this season. Sad they got the easy side of Champs League draw , but theres still hope. :)

He is out for Bulgaria's world cup qualifers, so safe to say it was an injury. They obviously asked him to see if he could run it off for a few minutes for the second half.
Ferguson knew exactly what he was getting, he is not a workhorse and never will be, but he has scored enough vital goals this season to help their campaign significantly.

Can't believe people are happy to see Berbatov fail.

I was extremely pissed off when he left, but I have nothing against the guy anymore. They guy was a legend for Tottenham. We were lucky to see him wear our shirt. Ok, we made him who he is now, but it could have been any other club, he just happened to choose us because we were an improving side at the time.

Easily my favourite player in the PL, outside of Spurs.
I love Berbatov

He is my favourite because he is so good to watch, and he is by far and away the most talented footballer I have seen play for Spurs in my 15/16 years as a supporter. His first touch is probably one of the best in the world. Some of the goals he scored were class. I'm a fan of good football. That's why I like him.

No he wasn't.

He was in my eyes mate. Like I said above, easily the best player I've seen in the shirt. He was idolised by everyone for the stuff he did while he as here. You can't deny that.

I'm a fan of good football but i can't ignore his behaviour at spurs, including on the day he left when by refusing to go to citeh he cost us 3 mil.

As to him being the most talented footballer at spurs in the last 15/16 years i don't think so. on the basis of pure skill that accolade has to go to david ginola.

I won't contest the claim that on his day he was a joy to watch. However when it wasn't his day he was a fucking **** to watch. Its probably his style, but in those games he never looked like putting in that extra 10%. He may be a legend for you, but I reserve that status for players who stayed for a number of years, played through struggling times and ultimately came out with success. Ie: Hoddle, Mabbutt, Sheringham, Ginola and any number of previous players previous to them who I can't think of right now. Demanding a transfer 2 years into 4 year contract does not make a legend for me. Ledley King is 10 times the legend Dimitar Berbatov ever was.

Of course Ledley is more of a legend then Berbatov. No one comes close really at present to King.
I'm a young enough fan and haven't seen enough great players at Spurs in my time though, so I suppose that's part of the reason why I love him so much I guess.

Ginola was class. But as I said, I am a young fan, and up until about the age of 12/13 didn't watch football or support Tottenham as avidly as I do now. I suppose that's another reason for my obsession with Berba.
