I'm sorry to start another thread about Berbatov, but I'm sick of most of SC more or less treating him as if he's already left us. He hasn't. He's still very much a Tottenham player. I've already been told by people on here to stop kidding myself and get over him... even though the only official and factual things we know are that he's still a Tottenham player, and apart from dodgy rumours from tabloid newspapers and ITKs, there's nothing to suggest he won't still be a Tottenham player next season and beyond.

How about we all just stop mourning the loss of someone who's still with us, and better yet to some of you stop insulting him and continue to support (if you ever did) one of the best players we've ever had and still have.

As they say... don't believe anything until it's on our official site (not Man Utd's ).

You're absolutely right, Flatters. All we've had is press speculation presented as fact. But it's true that the only thing that is absolutely set in stone is that he's still a Spurs player.

I think it's a case of default pessimism on our part. Having seen our stars leave so often it makes it hard to imagine one staying once the Top Bastards come calling.

Didn't Berba actually play and set up goals last night?????

Still a spurs player, and if you believe the press speculation, (as most seem to) then we have apparently told Man Utd its not enough and if we are to part, it needs to meet our valuation.

So, still a spurs player.

He played 45 minutes. I don't know if he set up any goals though.

47.18: Berbatov and O'Hara involved in the move that led to Pekhart rifling into the top corner from the edge of the box. 2-0.

63.25: Hutton broke down the right and cut the ball back for Berbatov, he controlled and crossed low for Pekhart to sweep home from 10 yards. 4-0.

I've always supported him and i always will if he stays. He is a class act and worth the £750 season ticket. But IMO he doesnt want to be here anymore and wants to move on, so the sooner we get a pile of £50 notes and spend it on a top DM and a replacement striker the better.

ANyway, I won't be as bold as Netty and say that he will still be here come the end of August, but as it stands he is.

yiddotilidie, what makes you think he doesn't want to be here anymore and wants to move on?

Tell me about it, doing my head in.

Until we see otherwise on the official site he is a Spurs player, wish people would give the drama queen ish a rest.

Good thread Flatters. There's a lot of hysterical nonsense surrounding the club at the moment. I like to think it's because the establishment and the top four can see us coming and they're shitting it.

Try and read it from the clubs point of view. I will support him, but I think he wants to move on so for the good of Tottenham Hotspur I think we WILL sell.

If you guys want to remain naive that he is content at remaining at a UEFA cup side in his 28th year then fine - but I feel I am a realist.
