Anyone able to shed any light on Gomes' fitness?
If he's not fit is Harry likely to call on Pletikosa or stick with ol' limp wrists?

As I understand it, Pletikosa was struggling to meet basic fitness in order for the loan to be signed off. If he is fit for action I suspect he'll be on the bench with Cudicini possibly playing his last game for Spurs before going out to a Championship club on loan. That will be on the assumption that Gomes has taken his sticky plaster off.

The Pletikosa not being anywhere near fit enough was late-July/early-August wasn't it? Surely he's where he should be now?

Not sure what's happening with Gomes, haven't heard anything.

Got to stick with what you know - if Gomes injured Carlo has to start.

Please not Cudicini. Hardly had anything to do against Wigan and let their goal go through his bastard hands.

why would carlo go out on loan? we would be back to square one. he had a dodgy moment against wigan but on the whole he is one of the best back up keepers in the league

I'm sure the Baggies game will show whether 'Arry agrees with you stevenurse. IMHO Carlo's best days are behind him and the Wigan game showed that as I'm sure Gomes would have stopped that shot from going in.

I'm sure i read somewhere that Harry said CC was injured too, in which case if HG is still injured it'd have to be Plettycoat Lane and Alnwick on the bench (if he's still here).

Alnwick is not registered to play. How will that work? I asked this in another thread, but noone answered. Must we get a special allowance? And if that's just a formality, why bother to register three goalkeepers?

Anyways, Cudicini had his best days way behind him even last year. Since then he's been out a year after his motorcycle accident, and did in no way look good against Wigan. I really hope we've seen the last of him in a Tottenham shirt. If Stipe's not match fit yet, I don't think he'll ever be again.

I know that Physioroom is not always 100% accurate, but they don't have Gomes down as injured, and as there is nothing to that effect from the club it suggests that he will probably be fit for Saturday.

Surely Gomes has had a rest, and will be fine. I think he was just a bit tired!!

If Cudicini was leaving on loan why did we waste a Champions League squad spot on him rather than give it to Sandro? Can't see it to be honest.

I don't think we registered Alnwick in the squad, whether we'd have to apply to have him as our emergency sub I'm not sure.

Alnwick is till on the OS with the number 27.

They have added Gallas, Sandro and VDV and taken off some of the youngsters like Rose and Livermore as well. Would have thought Alnwick would have been removed as well if he wasn't part of the squad.

I don't think it's in doubt that Alnwick is still a Spurs player (though some had been saying that his contract ran out). But if he hasn't been named in the 25 for either Premier or Champs League then we surely can't select him. From memory I don't think he was in either.

Cudicini won't go on loan, Redknapp said he got another keeper to let Alnwick go. Why would Cudicini go on loan, to get experience? If he is injured and Gomes is injured, it's getting a bit ridiculous. We can almost play a team of midfielders.
