agreed, thats why we have a squad, to play in these 'lesser, so called easier' games.

i hate the excuse 'its wasnt our first team' well then why the fuck are these players professional then?

This was obviously a let down after the cup. And I doubt it was an uncalculated let down by Juande. How do you reign in a bunch of prima dona players who spent too much time drunk this past week. Embarrass them. I'm not saying Juande wanted this result or manipulated it to get such results. But I bet he allowed the players to be their own worst enemy during the week between the trophy and this disaster, knowing damn well they would come out flat. So now he can show them how winners (like he is) conduct themselves as compared to one-offs (like they are) and motivate them for the rest of the season.

yep the team should have performed better - but it simply wasn't a 'very big' game - all games are important but far from being the biggest of the season it was one of the least important -

don't let's forget though the 4-1 scoreline in no way reflected the actual game - where we dominated possession and I believe had more shots on goal - yes brum deserved to win but 3-2 would have been atruer scoreline

so again it's not worth getting too mad over it -

for me the key things were no-one got injured (I think) and we didn't pick up any cards - thus we're now in a stronger position for games like PSV west ham chelsea which are all much more important games to us - especially psv

After a slight re-calibration, can we safely assume it is now this:

12/03/08 PSV Eindhoven v Tottenham Hotspur

I started this thread in the knowledge of past experiences with Spurs. We are a club that could perform at a high level on one side and perform like a bunch of flowers the next (its why other club supporters continually take the piss).

The Birmingham game IMO after our Cup exploits was an acid test a barometer as Ramos said to of the PSV game to determine the rest of our season and we got hammered.
