PSV at home is a massive game that needs to be 2-0 at least. Would be great if we finished above the Spam in the league though, we are their cup final in the league and we should have beaten them at Upton Park if Berba had been on Penno duty

Every game needs to be treated as a "Big" game bu us now. We need to collect 3 points from as many games as is possible to finish as high up the league as possible. 11th would still be a poor finish IMO.

Practise match for PSV :D

No, seriously, all games are important and we obviously want to push our way back where we belong & try and rack up as many points as we can, but the UEFA cup should be the top priority as we're already in Europe.

would agree, the biggest game of the season os always the next one. If we want to be a big team we need to learn how to appreciate our successes and then move on as quickly as possible to the next targets. That is the sign of a great team, if Chelsea had won on Sunday you can guarantee they wouldn't think that it was job done for the season

It IS a big game but biggest of the season????? No.

Its a big game in that i think it will give us an idea of how the rest of the season will go.

Will the players 'come off the gas' as we are now in europe next season or will the cup win give them a huge boost and help them kick on up the league

Define 'big'.

Like it or not as much as Ramos will prepare the team there is going to be a let down tomorrow.....It's human nature. How many of us can truly say that we're up for this game?

Of course if we don't get three points we'll get slagged off as the 'same old spurs' by the media and some of the posters here as well and then these boards will be lively indeed.

I'll be happy simply if all our players finish the game with their limbs intact.

I have nothing against Spurs to be unimpressive against Brum and then to trash out PSV. Perhaps it's too early to expect consistenly superb performances.

Yeah im not expecting a terrific performance tomorrow, probably just a professional job, a bit like the Slavia game last week

Christ, I had the unfortunate pleasure of watching the Cup final with one of my Spammer mates (and 6 other yiddos, of course) - but he kept bleeting on about "8 points this" and "8 points that" and "bottom of the table side" etc. This was even as we were lifting the Cup that put us into Europe next year.

I'd love to catch them and shit in their faces. Possibly at the same time. We're gonna do them at our gaff, so then it will only be 5 points. Anyone know what their run-in is like? In an unusual lazy move ... could someone grab it for me? :)

Fucking Spammers.
LOL. I'm with you a hundred percent. Lets' go on a run, not because we have to, but for the sheer hell of it. And definitely lets try and finish ahead of them. In fact that's my new ambition for the league and even though I haven't got any WHam friends if we finish above them I'll enjoy it vicariously through all the Spurs fans who do.

If anything this is one of the least important games of the season - if there is such a thing. Granted, it would be nice to pick up the three points that we should really have earned earlier on in the season at the lane against Brum, but we're not really going to go all out in an attempt to win tomorrow. As others have said, think of it as a momentum builder for the game against PSV, the real important game.

We're currently in a position where finishing 5th or 12th doesn't matter. Either way we're in Europe.

With this is mind the league games aren't as important as long as we pick up points on the way and keep a winning habit. Taking a look at players (and partnerships) who haven't had much of a chance yet is far more important to our future than where we finish this season.

Winning the UEFA would be great!!!!

Let's get our 40 points secured and then use the remainder of the league season for Ramos to explore his squad. Let's see Taarabt start up front with Bent, give Gunter a run of games, have a look at Pekhart and Rose, give Steed a game as AM, use The King sparingly (a given I know), find out if O'Hara has what it takes to be a first choice LM, find out if Gilberto is the real deal at LB, give KPB a run of games to see if he can grow a premiership brain, let's start a game with YK, Woodie *and* The King in an impregnable back 3.

That way we know exactly where we need to spend in the summer and keep our key players available for the EUFA games. I have so much confidence in our squad and in Ramos in-match tactics that I don't believe this is a formula for defeats, eg Derby.

We have a fantastic opportunity that Ar5e, Chelski and Manure don't have. Let's exploit that so when we come out of the blocks in August we scare the s*** out of them.

Our season doesn't end when we secure European football and PL status for next season.

I am sure many people will agree with you, that we have earned some 'bonus games' if you like, and a chance to tinker and play with the team without risking too much.

While I can see some sense in this, I still want to see us seriously compete until the end of the season. There is a chance to give a few games to younger squad members, but I really hope we don't start taking risks and treating our remaining games as a kind of pre-preseason. The league is still a serious competition, and we can still achieve a respectable points total and even a reasonable finishing position. Imagine adding to our league cup triumph with 7th in the league (ahead of West Ham) and another cup final. It is unlikely, but so was beating both Arsenal and Chelsea to win the League Cup.

I want Ramos to send out a message that European qualification, sweetened when achieved via a trophy, is great, but we don't rest there.

If players a ready then I think that Ramos will give them a chance (O'Hara, KBP). Likewise, if players need resting (Woody, King) then they can be rested, but I hope there is a serious commitment to improving our current league position.

Oh yeah, bigegst game of the season? Of course not. I guess in a way it should be but nobody is going to be convinced that a trip to St Andrews is bigger than a Wembley cup final against Chelsea. I wonder what the records show for points picked up in the game after a cup final by the cup winners and runner upers? Does that discredit my earlier point?

We potentially have 7 huge games left. The last 16, quarter final, semi final and the final of the uefa cup to play

Fucking Spammers.

I had to go and check... unless you count the Intertoto (and who's counting a competition with THREE winners each year) Wetspam, haven't actually won anything in my lifetime..... and I'm 26....

and I thought our trophy cabinet was looking a bit sorry for itself...

Too right, how much could we get winning the UEFA cup.

league places matter as each one gives an extra 1/2 mill i think, but I 'll settle for where we are now and a cup double.
