This weekend is the great man's birthday.

Who has memories and tributes to share ?

I have a few.

One that sticks in the memory is coming across Bill on a train coming back from an away game about 60-63.

Bill looked straight at me and smiled as if to welcome a few brief words.

I couldn't get anything out, totally gobsmacked !

Unfortunately to young but I have the knowledge and memories of the re runs of what he built and achieved for this great club. A man full of passion and pride who was spurs through and through

When I go to heaven I will seek him out and say thankyou for for making it so easy for a little boy in 1964 to fall in love with Tottenham Hotspur football club

Shook his hand in the reception area of WHL as he sat chatting to fans before a stadium tour. Too in awe to speak. RIP Sir Bill.
