IMO we are King and Sandro for Bassong and Parker away from having our strongest X1 but Parker has done nothing wrong to be dropped

Having Bale and Lennon leaves our centre exposed and if Blackburn pack central midfield then we may have trouble getting ball to our creative elements.

As we are away from home I feel this tactic is a tad anise from Harry and we could be asking for trouble.

Very disappointed that sandro is not starting and Lennon is, after such a poor game on thursday Lennon better have the game of his life.

Also going away from home with an open midfield hmm

Harry's dedication to the 4-4-2 will cost us Sandro in the long run. That lad would be starting for almost any team in Europe outside of the elite.

You also have to ask your self, if he isn't going to start him in an away game, when will he start him? Not at home, his only starts will come in the cup or if Parker gets injured.

Very dissappointing.

But Sandro isn't 100% fit. If he was I'm sure he would have started

Here are our subs - Cudicini, Rose, Livermore, Sandro, Townsend, Defoe, Pavlyuchenko. Scott Parker is captain this afternoon.

With Kranjcar injured and especially away from home (would maybe prefer VDV at home with Defoe up front) even a mediocre Lennon is better for the team than to keep playing players out of position. Happy with the selection, though thought Modric was ahead of Parker for the captaincy - didnt he take it last weekend when King went off?

Lennon is very good at tracking back, I thought he did that very well against Rubin in the week. So Walker will get better cover on that side.

.

Lennon is not paid to track back that is something he should be doing anyway.

No Gio on the bench! I think against the better teams Sandro would have started but we should look to attack them from the start.

It wouldn't be my preference for today but to be fair it is a balanced looking side and Lennon will give Walker better protection. I would be fine with it, given that its Blackburn, had King been playing but personally think Bassong/kaboul could be too exposed with only Parker shielding them.

Surprised by the line up, and Lennon doesn't deserve it, but I think having all players in their beat positions will serve us well.

I'm quite happy with that. Sandro is still coming back from injury so resting him isn't a problem for me, it also means Modric plays where he's been playing best. The only other real option was to drop vdV for Sandro. Parker's a great choice for captain in my opinion.

Well everyone is playing in their best positions 2day. I like the look of the side actually. Great balance

Completely agree.

Modric is our best central midfielder.
Bale is our best left winger.
Lennon is our best right winger.
Parker and Sandro are on par for their breaking down of the opposition.

I think we have our best midfield out today available. Sandro is returning from injury otherwise he would maybe get in ahead of Parker, although the Parker/Modric partnership looks very good.

Hopefully we win by a few today, Blackburn's defence isn't the greatest....

Sandro is just coming back from a serious injury, it would be pretty bad move to throw him back in at the deep end if he's not quite ready.

Happy with that team, shame on sandro but a great option to come on once we lead and sure things up. Rather Parker than bassong as captain, he's a good leader and will get the lads going

I think Sandro should be playing in place of lennon in a 4231 but what do I know. It's good that there is competition for places. I'm sure Harry is aware that of what Sandro brings. I assume he is on the bench because of a combination of being out injured for a while, wanting to use the pace of lennon against Blackburn who are there for the taking and because he played 90 minutes on Thurs.... is a squad game as we all know..

Lennon to give Olsson a torrid time again. He has a bit of previous.

Bale up against a debutant young right back? Got to fancy Bale to finally get a bit of form going today? Hopefully. If he can't get the better of that kid then we have problems.
