Don't agree with the selection of Lennon whatsoever, especially in a flat four man midfield but I hope for our sakes it works out today.

shame sandro isn't starting. lennon has to have a big performance today imo.

It will help our shape though, and having some attacking threat down the right might help to nullify the threat of Hoilett down the left as he may need to track back and sit deeper than Blackburn would like.

Slightly harsh on Sandro and Defoe after his goal last week, but means we have a stronger bench than of late.

Here are our subs - Cudicini, Rose, Livermore, Sandro, Townsend, Defoe, Pavlyuchenko. Scott Parker is captain this afternoon.

Very balanced side, much better than to force Sandro into the middle and push out Modric just to have our eleven strongest in the side.

That team doesn't inspire me with confidence, I hope my fears will be proved wrong.

The problem is we evidently have nobody who can play on that right hand side, save for Lennon. It is frustrating VDV does not seem inclined to put a shift in on the right hand side as it would really help the team.

I like the balance of the team; square pegs in square holes! I would have probably have Sandro instead of VDV away from home though.

We are away at blackburn not chelsea or city,so we need an attacking formation and i like the look of this. If you play vdv as the support role then you need two lads either side wiv pace.

I can see why he has gone for Lennon, attack attack attack first half, try and grab a couple of goals, then bring Sandro on for the second half. Don't forget both players have been out for some time with injuries, so I'd rather have Sandro to fall back on rather than having to bring Lennon on in the second half to try and get something from the game...

I really like that lineup personally. At least one of Bale/Lennon needs to have a big performance though

Didn't even notice Defoe wasn't playing...which, I think, says it all on how harsh I think it is on him.

Not sure on the Scott Parker as Captain.

Absolutely sure on parker as Captain.

Harry's dedication to the 4-4-2 will cost us Sandro in the long run. That lad would be starting for almost any team in Europe outside of the elite.

You also have to ask your self, if he isn't going to start him in an away game, when will he start him? Not at home, his only starts will come in the cup or if Parker gets injured.

Very dissappointing.

Lennon is very good at tracking back, I thought he did that very well against Rubin in the week. So Walker will get better cover on that side.

It's an attacking line up, and so it should be against the bottom club. It's all about bossing possession today.
