Thats almost 20% of total price?

It is the fee the ticket seller takes. I tried to find out what it all goes towards once and it turns out it is for all the after sales support!! So if you need to phone Ticketmaster with a problem it covers paying that call centre person. Ironically the only reason you'd ever need to call Ticketmaster is if they have fudged something up and your ticket hasn't arrived or is incorrect etc so it's what is known as an FU tax.

What about at Arsenal?

Their game against City saw the first time a standard ticket broke the £100 barrier after the VAT increase.

It's to pay for the hamsters that run in the wheel that generates the electricity that our ticket website runs off.

Levy did look into the £1.50 version of the hamster, but these were second hand and had been up Ashley Coles arse, were covered in shit and were therefore deemed less efficient.

Yeah, £3 is about standard for a sport/gig ticket... it goes to the agent... nothing to do with Spurs transfer funds!

Clearly the £3.50 goes towards the people who work at the ticket office....who have to get off their seat once in a while to collect the ticket from the printer.

Although now its done by this membership card, what are we paying for... i am going to email them right now.

The licensing/use of Ticketmaster's industry leading technology and systems, and their future development... the bandwidth... the customer service/support...

But apart from all that, what did the roman's ever do for us?!

The staff who answer the phones...

I bought them on net so there is no staff.

I don't pay the checkout girl 3.50 to add up my shopping bill in Tesco. Neither do I have to pay 3.50 for the privilege of using their EPOS.

Why don't they factor shit like this in?

Another hidden cost to fleece the fans if you ask me.

Id be much happier paying 23.50 rather than 20 + 3.50 booking fee. Its all about visibility.

£20 goes to the club. £3.50 is ticketmaster's fee for administering the whole thing by hiring staff to send tickets, deal with queries and also covering their fees for maintaining the software systems in place. It really is quite simple. It's not fleecing fans, it's standard practice for every single ticketed event.

If you want visibility, isn't it better to know what you're paying for rather than to just be charged with the whole sum with no specification?
