It depends on what you like. I'd love to see a rematch with Ward as I love how technical a fighter he is. He can be a bit dirty at times and knows all the tricks, but he's quality to watch, perhaps only Mayweather is a more skillful fighter than him. I would never call him dull to watch.

It's a dull fight because Ward wins 12-0 nine times out of ten and Froch will get little offence of note in. There is nothing to discover through seeing a rematch. It's like wanting to see FMJ fight Guerrero again. I'd rather see competitive fights.

Groves is done with that level. He's the no1 contender for the WBO so next step is to take on Stieglitz and win that. Get a good defence or two under his belt and then I'd say it's time for Froch. Degale is off his radar for now. Not making enough noise at this point in time.
fair point.. but I don't think he's even on froch's promotors radar.. I think carls got a couple of fights left at most.. unfortunately he wants ward again & that fight is easy to make or Kessler a 3rd time!. as I said I don't think the timeline in favourable at all to groves as good a fighter as he is!.
don't discount chunky!.

Well Eddie promotes both Froch and Groves now so I'd say it's a very natural fight to make. Would be surprised if it doesn't happen at some point in 2014. Probably be Carl's next fight after he loses to Ward again (if Groves takes the WBO in the meantime).

Froch will want that rematch because he'll want to avenge the other defeat on his record. It's up to him to step up his game, but I agree with you he doesn't have the ability to beat Ward. I don't think Kessler will want any more of that, he looked the older man in there tonight. That could be the last we see of him. Doesn't leave much else for Froch really, unless he steps up to light heavy.

Only natural that he will want it and indeed there aren't many interesting options out there for either (in fact there are next to none for Ward right now). It will likely happen for that reason.

A match up that has absolutely no chance of happening but that I would quite like to see is Froch-Cleverly. I really think that'd be a great fight stylistically and otherwise. Would also be much more tightly contested than many might expect imo. Of course it isn't going to happen until Nathan sees the light and leaves Warren though.

Agree about Kessler, can see him retiring. He got through tonight on heart.

would also like to see this fight, wouldn't say it's got no chance of happening but I would say there is no chance of Cleverly stepping in the right with a fit, sharp Froch. Will be an "end of the career money fight" if it's to happen.

Definitely Ward then Groves I think.

What a night! Head is pounding, voice has gone. Don't usually get too vocal when present at a fight but it was hard not to get involved last night! Atmosphere was rocking

Good fight. I think both have earned the right to turn it in personally. Froch has his revenge and I think he knows Ward has too much in his locker for him.

Froch has enough dough and interests outside the sport, and his legacy is there for all to see as a British all time great.

I think he will fight once more though and it will be Ward.

Wasn't expecting this!

Good. Something to look forward to, and hopefully a real test for Mayweather.

Yeah im a bit surprised too, this is a fight that would be bigger an more competitive maybe next may/sept. Alvarez is a bit too green at the moment and hasnt really fought anyone of note (Trout fight couldve gone either way tbh). I can see floyd putting on another one sided beatdown on canelo, the kid will gas out after 8/9 rounds - fighting in little spurts like he did vs trout isnt going to win him rounds vs floyd. . .

Its at a catch weight of 152lbs, however floyd rarely comes in over 150 on fight night, an alvarez will blow up to about 170-175

I'm seemingly one of the few boxing fans not jumping for joy at the news of Foyd-Canelo!

Of course I am looking forward to it and will defintely watch but I think Floyd will take him to school. Completely. Won't be half as competitive as some hope.

Not much around to test Floyd right now. I always wanted to see him in against Paul Williams who I think would have given Floyd fits. Alas, wasn't meant to be...

I feel a bit like you, it looks like a great fight on paper, but when it comes to the fight I think Floyd will be just to clever for him.

Team Haye offered Fury a 50/50 split, Fury rejected and demanded a 80/20 split! Fury is an absolute clown, and a coward. Ducking this fight big style, just like how he ducked Price when he was the mandatory

Wouldn't take too much notice of what Fury says. He has come out and said the 50/50 split was done 6 weeks ago and Haye has also got his wish of coming to the ring 2nd. Deal is done now...apparently!

Won't believe it until I see them in the ring. If and when they do? Haye within 3 rounds

50/50 is generous too if true. Haye should be getting the bigger share.

Still, if it does happen it will land them both a tidy sum that's for sure.
