Both heard how tough the EPL is:) Personally have seen a few players wear them......a growing number of kids both in Oz and the USA are wearing them......protecting the dental work. I undersand that the technology of mouthguards has improved.....I tend to think of them like the mouthgaurd I wore as a boxer.......which would be hard to wear playing a continuous game like football. Have seen very very few mouth injuries in 900 games played and almost as many as a coach. However the rugby boys agree that a properly fitted mouthguard can reduce concussive effects.....so it might for some be almost like the feeling of wearing a pair of decent shin pads.

It's the type of trend that will filter through to the Sunday Leagues, pot bellied blokes wearing snoods and gum shields.
