BRING ON THE PUNS

You (mostly) didn't disappoint. Here we go...

Hopefully can brush this under the carpet and roll on with the partnership...
6/10 and 7/10 = avg. 6.5/10
You mean we should just gloss over it?
8/10, but only because you've got credit in the bank for being the forums funniest poster.
Does it mean we should make MATT DOHERTY captain?
2/10, physically made me sick.
I’m sure that @Nine while nine will gloss over this at some point and give us his take on it.
0.5/10, he already did. You even stole his pun...
We are buying an Irish international , Dec o’ Rator
4/10, as long as we can make him captain ahead of MATT DOHERTY
In all honesty watching Spurs play lately has been like watching paint dry
5/10, you also win the "I could see this pun coming from miles away" award.
It's been giving me emulsional problems.
6/10, but I'd have used "I'm getting emulsional thinking about it".
I bet that social media guy is going to be walking on eggshell for a bit.

No?

I'll get my overalls.
4.5/10, just on the edge of acceptable.
Poor guy will be out of the job after those replies.

I had a chuckle at them, not gonna lie.
1/10, I'm not sure there's even a pun here but it was still better than @neilp's attempt.
It's masking over our problems if you ask me
3/10, at this point I can't even remember what puns we have and haven't had, so I'll assume this one has been done.
I don't know why Spurs Twitter even put it out there.

It's a bit of a shaggy dog story, really.
7/10, thinking outside the pun box, I like it.
Levy should be decorated for closing out such an important business deal
6.5/10, again, nice original attempt. Not sure our fans will agree with the sentiment though.
Do you reckon he's going to be laid off?

I'll get my top coat.
2/10, if your last was just on the edge of acceptable, you're currently freefalling from the Skywalk.
There’s not enough Pollyfilla in the world to deal with the cracks in our defence.
6/10, again I can't remember whether a pollyfilla reference has been made, but it made me chuckle.
Great. All that paint to watch dry gives us another more entertaining use of our time than watching us play.
2/10, see @Who’s our next manager?'s above post. A sad rehash of a predictable pun.

That'll do.

Any jokes about ‘having no width because our wide players are always cutting in’ yet...?

Now all the puns are out of the way this reminds me of a few seasons ago when we signed no-one.
"THFC are pleased to announce Ethel the tealady has signed a new contract with the club until 2025"

Shakespeare would have had a few fine words to say about this piece of nonsense.

There's plenty more in the mix

I will only comment on all of this talk of Dulux Once and let some other aerosol take the Crown with their silky skills. I won't poster lot more as I fear it wood stain my good reputation. Time for me to scraper and varnish off the thread I think.
