For the first time since... I can't remember... I genuinely don't think I can be bothered watching this one.

I find it so sad that I'm more interested in next weekend's Super Bowl than Spurs vs Chelsea on Thursday.

Why the fuck are we playing premier league games on Thursday anyway, two weeks running?

Something has to be said for Chelski. Even if it is a circus and the manager is a continual revolving door, least they end up in the top 4 and then usually picking up a trophy out of it. Even if I hate the way they do it, you have to say it gets results. Today immediately Tuchal changes it and breathes new life into them. Next up us, time to dread this.

Our last trophy was 2008! Even then it was hardly attention grabbing, the league cup. Roll forward 12 years we end up with a final but in the same competition! I grant you it's a shot at a trophy but we've had to sacrifice our souls for it! Mourinho is yesterday's man and looking at him today, was watching a scared rabbit in the headlights, absolutely clueless and someone who can't find a way way out of a mess he effectively sowed, player fallouts, negative tactics and the miserable demeanour combine to let history repeat itself. Players are just not playing for him, not acceptable!

As rightfully posted once upon a time Mourinho had an embarrassment of riches to fall back on at Madrid/Milan, now it's just an embarrassment of rags. Time for billionnaire owner then and the deadwood to be chopped...it doesn't sit comfortably with me that either but then neither does it supporting what seems to be a painful, laughing stock.

I will reply, but tbh right now Im a mixture and fury and apathy, hence Im unlikely to write anything coherent or cogent.
Sorry, dude, but were there fat fingers at play for the Spam rating? I understand you didn't want to answer right now, so I'm a little confused by that.

I think you're all living in a Beatrix Potter world if you think this squad is going anywhere with any manager.

Going to be a frustrating and maddening next couple of seasons regardless of who the coach is.

And they ended up not playing for the last manager as well. What's the common denominator here? What accounts for any expectation that they'll suddenly turn it on and leave it on for the next candidate?

Just watched the game as I was busy earlier watching a no set with my wife. Ignored social media as I have a lot of Brighton supporting mates.
We lost. Fair enough. Brighton played Mo ball better than we do. They can’t score but neither can we.

We got away in some games with 4 or 5 shots only and managing to win but in the last 9 games (league) have scored 11 goals and conceded 12. Picked up 9 pts out of 27 - 2W, 3D, 4losses. We have a manager constantly bawling out whilst players claiming immunity from personal error. We ha e a team that looks lost, playing scared, what a contrast to say Leeds who play without fear ... sometimes they win and sometimes they but but are a newly promoted team with just a few points less than we have.

Give me the job and we would be in a much better position. In fact my wife who knows nothing about the game couldn’t do worse

I understand why fans write things like your last line, be it about managing or playing at a high level. It may be meant as tongue in cheek, and if not, it is utter nonsense. I have been in the game long enough as a player and a coach to know the step up from the terrace, the pub and/or the living room is bigger than the average fan understands.

A case could be made that other managers could have us higher and playing a more attractive style, but that is a different argument.

Don't agree. We have very good players. Would you swap any with the Brighton players? It's up to the manager to devise a system to get the best out of them.

Mentally we are among the weakest in the league.

Talent and tactics don't win anything without the attitude to back it up.

We need to look closer to home for signings . The bread and butter. Im not saying English players but players who we know can handle the league.

We have done it before.

Wanyama, Palacios, Dembele,Walker, Rose, PEH, Bale,Parker, Carrick,Toby, Kane from within,Dele.

Was Son the last foreign based player we bought that turned into a worldie? That was 6 years ago......

Liverpool have Oxlaide Chamberlain, VVD, Robertson, Wijnaldum,Henderson,Milner,Mane all bought from other teams in this league. They all weren't VVD money. Some were bargains.

The Njies and Nkoudou stuff is a load of nonsense. Soldados and Jansens. If your going to go foreign pay the money and get good players over the line.

We should have been pillaging the lower prem and championship teams every year for a player or two.

Grealish IS that Villa team . Fernandes worth every bean of his transfer fee. He IS Man Utd.

But then isn't Kane that player?

From Brighton, I'd have Dunk and Lamptey in a heartbeat. And that's just off the top of my head. So the gulf in quality isn't as wide as some may think.

EDIT: Oh, and I'd take Sanchez, their goalie, over Gazzaniga.
