Feel confident about this, especially if Vinicius plays. If not we will at least have bunch of pace in front which will suit our counter attack. All our defenders tend to make big mistakes but we should have enough to beat them.

Thank Christ Martin ‘I hate Spurs’ Tyler isn’t commentating on our match, he’s coming out with some absolute waffle during the west spam/bin dippers match

Agree he's been better this season but he's not been as good recently as he was earlier in the season. Jose did hook him at HT last game as well so he must have been unhappy about something. My comment was more about feeling that Japhet deserving a run though.
And my answer to that is that Japhet should not be shoe horned into a position that is not his naturally. If we are playing three at the back, he should be using Japhet as oppose to Davies in my opinion.

Jose hooking Aurier more than likely had nothing to do with his overall performance because he had the dibs on Mane most of the time.

he is without doubt my least favourite commentator. I keep hoping some #metoo story comes out involving him and he has to head off to the Middle East, never to darken our screens again.

The best part of this game is that it’s on this evening. Can’t ruin the day for us.

I’m going to watch the Royal Rumble later on and likely have the weekend ruined by Vince McMahon booking Goldberg over Drew! ?

get your bets in lads, one of the Brighton players finding some kind of form against us,
Bissouma scoring seems a good bet

Brighton will out football us. They might not win, but they'll definitely be prettier to watch than our slow, ponderous, 4 touches when 1 will do style.

Wish we were as much fun to watch as Villa, Saints, or Leicester :(

To be fair though, Leicester got spanked by Leeds today, although it was a good game.
Im not sure Saints are that entertaining either but I'll give you Villa. Even they seem to be up and down though.
It's just a very strange season in that there have been some great games and some absolute shitters. I think everyone is in the same situation tbh.

Mourinho's team selection and substitutions have played a major part in the team dropping points in recent weeks. The team sheet will dictate the result again today, especially with Kane and Reguilon out. The major outstanding questions:

-Does Alderweireld start? There's no reason he shouldn't. He's the best defender at the club and has the best long range passing, too.

-Does Mourinho play with 4 attacking players, with Ndombele/PEH behind them? This would be ideal, but playing 5 at the back or putting in Winks/Sissoko in place of additional attacker would mean all of the onus is on Son to score.

-Will Bale start? Seems obvious that he should be given a chance since he did score the winner against Brighton last time out, has scored the opening goal in his last two starts, and Lucas/Bergwijn have 1 tap-in goal between them in the league this season.

Worse case scenario is a defensive line-up and a subsequent, predictable poor result. Hope Jose avoids that by putting out our most talented players available.

Don't know about the atom, but I do know we struggle to split opposition defences with accurate quality passing.

Only way that happens is if Ndombele plays at 8. Stick him further forward like the 2nd half v Liverpool and we have next to nothing creating in CM.

Japhet is right footed so not a natural fit at LCB like Davies is. He filled in at LB admirably when we were short last season but I am sure his future will be centre back or right back. My personal opinion is that he will make a better right back as he is very quick, can get up and down the wing and is only 6 foot so not as strong aerially as our other centre backs. That said, it's up to him and his coaches to work that out, not me. All I was saying is that he's looked promising at RB previously and this game presents a good opportunity to give him a run.
