Credit De Zerbi though, he identified how key Porro and Udogie would have been to us today and pinned them back at every opportunity.
Thats true but then with Bissouma or Bentancur there we are probably able to overcome that and put pressure in them where they overcompensated.

But with Hojbjerg and Skipp you can't do that

I’d rather play the kid at CB rather than Emerson. Not his fault. Just doesn’t know how to play there

Gio for Hojbjerg and a CB on me thinks.
That'll guarantee them another couple of goals.
Hojbjerg isn't the problem, he's not great nut Sarr is invisible.
I doubt it is a change of a midfielder it's an extra midfielder if anything. If a change is needed it's in the back four
We're just not winning anything out there tonight.

watching the replay of that first goal, as captain, Sonny has to be more aware and either drop in or scream his head off to make the defence aware of the spare man

We don't have anywhere near the side out there to play Ange's system effectively.

You either compromise the system to suit the players or expect the worst.

If we don't get a couple in next week I'm expecting a very miserable January.
With a spine of Hojbjerg royal and davies I’m not sure sitting back and defending would be any better than very attacking anyway

It was so obvious we’d been left inexplicably short at CB in the summer. Shouldn’t have been allowed to happen.

He's a central midfielder.

So making his 5th professional appearance out of position.

Got a goal and had Son in his pocket.
Which in no way proves that our CBs are ready to play in probably the hardest position for youngsters to play.

Properly shite!

Brighton have been great.

We’ve looked like we’ve got a million of our best players out injured.

The front 4 in particular have been awful, considering they actually don’t have any personnel missing.

100% agree, but to pick him out tonight is laughable, he’s far from the worst out there, yet reading some of the comments on here……….
I could make comments about every player bar Vicario in tonight's performance. Sadly we need Holjberg to be driving the team up but it just isn't his game.
