The base of the team, Royal, Davies and Hojbjerg are just not good enough in terms of technical ability to be relied upon to play this type of football. However tonight that's not been the only issue....even our technically gifted players haven't shown up. Very poor watch and reemphasises the work that needs to be carried out.

It will probably be 1 sub - Dier for Emerson.

If Ange is brave, he should play Phillips or Dorrington. If other team can play youth players, we should be able to. But we will probably see Dier. And Donley 4+9 (9 games) in Premier League 2 have only played 2 minutes for us in the Premier League, even with so many players out.

Think more the problem that the defence is getting no protection from the midfield, Hojberg non existent in closing down.

Son is great at pressing when he's a striker, but is a liability on the wing. Johnson just doesn't work hard at all. You can't carry two players defensively, especially when your whole defensive premise is based on pressing from the front and squeezing up the pitch.
