Play centre backs at centre back on Sunday please Ange. Think GLC probably comes in for Deki but we’re beyond the bare bones now. Our missing players for Bournemouth will be:

Van de Ven
Romero
Sessegnon
Perisic
Bissouma
Bentancur
Solomon
Maddison
Kulusevski

Add in a proper no. 9 and a goalkeeper (could say Whiteman) and I reckon that team qualifies for Europe.

I think honestly Gil has a lot of that. He just has zero body mass. Gets brushed off like a fly, so it doesn't matter.

Lamela had some strength in him.
what body mass? he is awful technically. has no right foot, lots of sloppy touches, poor decision making, awful in the area. if his only problem was his strength, it would be fine.

We really need to sort the discipline out.

A bit of bite is nice but it's costing us alot

So the guy grabbing Udogie's face twice a the end gets away without a booking?

How?
Yeah both that and them kicking ball away to time waste. Absolute nailed on yellows. Consistency in refereeing decisions has been atrocious across the board this season. Nearly as bad as our performance in the first 70 minutes.

On the plus side Veliz got a goal and looked quite useful

I enjoyed Veliz's cameo and glad he got a goal. Hojbjerg was unlucky hitting the post. Can't say we don't get into promising positions. Richy scored two offside goals and hit the post himself.

We gifted two needless penalties away. I fully expected to concede a few due to the nature of who was at CB, but aside from maybe the first I can't fault them for any of the other goals.

Son was as poor as I have seen him. Have seen people dig out Kulu, he is probably knackers considering he plays the full 90 running up and down more often than most.

Thought Vicario and Udogie were our best players. Richy put away two offside goals and was getting chances, so I am confident going forward with him up top for now. Johnson offered more than most when he was on I thought.

Don't think Hojbjerg was maybe as bad as people may have you believe either.

that's irrelevant. what we produce when we're trailing by multiple goals is not representative of the game. it's a common fallacy used to disguise poor performances.
Again, you’re not understanding. I know we were shit, but with the chances we had in final 15 minutes, we easily could have won.

Disgraceful performance today imo.

we will suffer in jan

would it be possible to block our players going to asian/african cup as we have so many players out injured? Surely we are paying them and we will have to play youth instead.

Poor take. You would not be saying the same if it was for the Euros or a WC.

Without a makeshift defence, and the usual suspects having to play in the middle, we win this despite being a little poor ourselves.

The sky is not falling.
It's so fucking frustrating that just at the time we start getting competent recruitment and a decent style of play that we are plagued with injuries and suspensions.

I know Ange has made the situation worse sometimes with the odd selection error but let's be honest we'd be comfortably in the top 3 had even 2 of Romero, VDV, Bentancur and Maddison been fit, or we'd had suitable replacements.

We were the better team in the second half and had more than enough chances to take something from that game. Richi needs to be smarter when playing on the shoulder and we need to cut out the lapses of consentration.

Bournemouth is going to be very tough.

Would give GLC Kulu's place for the next match based on today's performance.
No way, Kulu had a bad match tonight but he has been one of our best players all season. Lo Celso has done his usual one or two good games and other than that had been fucking useless, his tackle tonight for the penalty was utterly brain-dead.

we were poor for the majority of the match, but beaten by a worldie, two brain fart penalties, we hit the post 3 (?) times and richarlisons very tight offside goal so it wasn’t all bad was it. Was it? Just trying to take some positives from it!

all round poor performance - even from us in here! For once I was calm thinking Ange & the boys got this but I wasn't prepared for such a poor performance and players only waking up after going 4-0 down. I hope Ange got to see who he cannot trust & also, those departing to Asia Cup & AFCON understandably may have been protecting themselves to ensure they represent their countries (only right for them to want to represent their country) but this is why you need depth in a squad & you need players / characters who won't allow this type of performance. So so so disappointed we didn't seize this moment to get closer to the top

No point turning up for 25% of a match.

And in a world where we have VAR, I have absolutely no idea what the fuck Kulu was thinking for the pen.
So annoying. It's exactly what he did in the last match...but got away with it. No-one took him aside and told him to stop the obvious shirt pulling.. Crap management.
