It's disappointing because with Moutinho we could have had a truly world class team, but there's nothing we can do about that now. Lets hope this is good enough:

Dembele in top 3 if not most tackles last season? likes to go on runs and works hard? seems like a moutinho mould to me, we will be ok

Also is it just me who thinks we should be playing close to our best team in the Europa league? This is largely a new team and needs time to gel and gain confidence together. I don't want to see us playing kids like we were last season.

Certainly makes for an interesting season.

Few teams could lose the quality of King, Modric and VDV at the same time and continue like nothing has happened.

Lloris by all accounts sounds like a quality keeper so we may have a long-term replacement there.

Vertonghen has a high pedigree, Kaboul has really come into his own and Walker and BAE have established themselves as our full backs.

Dempsey was one of the top scorers last season, Sigurdsson scored 7 in 18 games and Dembele was one of last season's stand out players.

In Ade we finally have a man who can lead the line.

By my reckoning we've had a very good transfer window. Disappointed we didn't get Moutinho but that happens sometimes.

Because of the major changes I'm concerned this could be a transitional season. But looking forward I'm very excited.

I think we hve a very strong squad. Yeh I would have loved another signing or two but we really need realism, we have bought very well. We missed out in some others and it is frustrating but I think we will do well this year and we can still strengthen in jan as well
