No Nordtveit for Gladbach? Good holding mid, was a permanent fixture the last two seasons.

2-1 to Bayern so far. Mandzukic & Robben with early goals, but Dante has just scored an OG, though to be fair Gladbach have been quite threatening on the attack.

Xhaka must have finally stepped up this year then. Gladbach don't look too bad when you put into perspective their opponents and the fact it's the first game of the season. Have them as favourites for 5th and I'm sticking with that.

Dortmund
Bayern
Schalke
Leverkusen
Gladbach
Stuttgart
Hamburg

Those are my CL and Europa league spot predictions

Hannover Host Wolfsburg tomorrow. Hopefully a win is in the bag for Hannover. What is funny to me, is that Stoke are after Diouf, apparently. I think I will hang myself if he decides to leave a team that can challenge for European play for... Stoke.

The general feeling in Germany though still seems to be that the EPL is a better and more prestigious league though. Maybe not to the fans but certainly for the players. Same applies for La Liga, and even, (and slightly more worringly) Serie A. I don't know why players almost always take the move as soon as a club from one of these other 3 leagues comes knocking, but what I do know is that all three of them pay more than the Bundesliga.

It's sad but with the excellent scouting and youth development now in the BL it doesn't really seem to matter so much when a top player moves abroad / to Bayern.

Schalke v Hamburg tomorrow is the real game of the weekend! Blau und weiss, wie lieb ich dich

I'm not watching the match at the moment. Were the goals quality or meh? And are they playing him on the right for Kuba?

I just put up a blurry simulcast and only saw the 3rd, he was coming in from the left on that one, played in for a one on one and cool finish

Deployed on the right for the first half. When Gundogan (AM) was taken off for Kuba, Reus switched to the AM role and PEA went to the left.

All of his goals were quality btw. Especially the last 2, which reminded me of Henry.

PEA played a good game but let's not carried away here guys haha. 4-0 is a good result away from home on the first day of the season but it was against Augsburg. I still think they wont be as good as last year. At least, that's what I'll keep telling myself

Huh? But you have them as Champions in your predictions?

Braunschweig almost stole a point from Werder. Last minute shot went off a defender's foot (accidentally) on the line.

Hannover won, so I'm happy :D

Yeah I know but that's because I think Bayern will flop this year under Guardiola and because Klopp is a great coach. They're still a brilliant team I just think they had a stronger team last year, but this team is still more than capable of winning the title.
