He’s been stitched up by his brother! Kane has millions…imo the move was purely about making surely Charlie was ok. Both probably thought they would piss the bundesiga. Backfired. Kane can do one. Hes lost his legend status imo
He's our all time record goalscorer. He will always have legend status like it or not.

It’s only really “backfired” in the short term. Even if Bayern Munich don’t win the league this year, there’s very a good chance they win it next season. I can still see Kane winning multiple trophies there.

Anyway, in a few years time any hard feelings about him leaving will have mostly dissipated. People will mainly remember what a great player he was for us. The way most people look back fondly on other players who gladly accepted big moves like Keane, Berbatov, Modric, Bale.

They are called Neverkusen for a reason so I think their fans are at least as traumatised as ours. Probably even more so.
As a gladbach casual, it's galling to have been top of the league pre-covid, and now see local rivals likely to win it.

I don’t see too much bitterness, it’s more about the meme around winning trophies. He’s gone to the one club it should be a given and is currently failing, you have to see the comedy there.

Personally I’d like to see Tuchel sacked, Bayern kick on, draw Arsenal in the CL and Kane to demolish them.

WHAT TUCHEL SAID ABOUT KANE

Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel told DAZN afterwards, with his star No.9 made aware that he really should have wrapped up a game that was disrupted on a couple of occasions by protests from the home support: “We created some top-class chances. Harry's chance in the first half may have been the deciding factor. If he finished that with one touch instead of trying to play it, the game is over. I don’t think today’s defeat was fair; I think a lot went against us. I think we had an xG value of 3.4 and we had four, five, six top-class chances. We completely dominated the game and actually went behind out of nowhere.

😂 We won the xG

That's not what he said or meant and I think you know it. Or at least you ought to.
Bringing up xG after a loss, to me he’s only saying one thing.

Bochum played well, he should be crediting them, instead he’s bringing out excuses

Yeah there’s definitely comedy value in him going to Bayern Munich and them struggling. We don’t need to be “holier than thou” about it. Football is all about rivalry and tribalism. Having a laugh and some banter about stuff like this it is what football is about.

What if he joins Chelsea?
Glenn Hoddle managed Chelsea, is he still a legend? Pat Jennings went to Arsenal, is he still a legend? We could go on like this all day.

Kane gave us his teenage years and his 20s. He doesn't owe us anything. We didn't win anything in that time, and that wasn't solely down to him. He gave Conte and Mourinho a chance to see if they could get us over the line. He could have given us a year and left on a free. Instead he left and brought in a decent sum of money. Yes, the timing of day before the season wasn't great but it was that or nothing.

Yes it's funny that he went for certain trophies and it doesn't appear to be happening at the moment (though it's only February and plenty of time for things to change this season), but he doesn't owe us anything.

As he no longer plays for us I’d argue we don’t owe him anything either so finding humour in this event isn’t as blasphemous as some would make out.

Thanks for the memories, shame we didn’t do more but that’s that.
Personally I never worry about ex players, couldn’t care what they do.
I do however find it funny that BM are stuttering and he isn’t having the “easy” win most people thought he’d gone for.

the arrogance of Bayern and their conduct during the transfer clearly had an impact on some wanting them to fail if not Kane directly.

I literally said I found it funny? It's the people who seem particularly bitter about it and want to downplay what he did for us that I have an issue with. When someone who spent pretty much his entire life with the club wants to leave, we should allow them that chance. He could have kicked up a fuss and stuck it out until this summer when his contract ends and he leaves on a free. Instead he brought some money into us and leaves as our all time record goalscorer. For some reason people want to downplay that as if he did nothing for the club. He carried us during the pandemic under Jose getting the most goals and assists.

I never hold any grudges towards ex players, it's part and parcel of the job. They will come and go, as well as managers (it's why I have no ill will towards Poch either). They're adults who can make their own choices.

Ehhh this feels somewhat revisionist, given he (apparently) wanted Mourinho in and tried to force a move in 2020 and 2021 before Conte came in. Seems to suggest a patience and a passiveness that wasn't necessarily the case.
