Cannot see the point of a player coming on for us who we see no future with?

Apart from our starting 11, most of the bench are ones we want rid of, so there isn't much options!

Bentencur
Johnston
Veliz
Royal

They are the only ones I could say who were not in the starting 11 that we wanted to still be here.

Skipp
Richarleson
Davies

All ones that we probably were ok to keep but would want improves on if we could.

Brilliant performance again and Son through the middle is likely to stick. We need a clinical Son in this line up and he delivered in spades today. You could watch that first finish all day. Surely a sign he's back to his best when he's passing the ball in the net like that.

Been at work all day and then had to watch the end of my lads last cricket game of the season.
How great is it to be looking forward to MotD again?

I was encouraged by Solomon today after a very poor showing in the cup, he looked much more comfortable on the left and with better players around him. Thought his decision making was pretty good and has a great burst of acceleration to get into space and drag defenders all out of position. He made a few mistakes, mishit some passes, lost the ball a few times, but usually was trying to do the right thing and just didn’t quite execute it - hopefully as he gets some minutes with Maddison, Udogie, Son, those linkups will improve and he might be a real contributor for us.

Yeah he’s very much a left sided player, playing there also opens up that favourite little move of his where he cuts inside and curls the shot for the far post with his right foot, he’s scored a few like that at Fulham and Shakhtar, ironically a very Son like manoeuvre. Make you right though, more minutes with the people you mention and I think he can be a real asset once he’s run off some rust.

Just few thoughts after the game. I like what I see, its great to see how Ange is building few players: Romero is growing up, Porro, great to see Sarr getting chances, there is big potential in him but he is still bit raw. Those inverted fullbacks or whatever you call it is very refreshing to watch and Porro and Udogie both look like they love be that much involved. I'm very impressed with Udogie overall. What an improvement on every leftback we had in last 5 years. Sooo good.

We are still not finished product. To be fair I dont think we are there yet to get any ponits from Arsenal or Liverpool. Van den ven or Porro still look bit to shaky in defence, we still make some mistakes in buildup. But at least the vibe that is building around the team allow me to think that "maybe on our day we can get something from those games". And I didn't feel that for like 5 years. And that is something.

Also I can see some stick on Conte. Despite the fact he had to go for many reasons I think he was spot when describing few of our players. And remember he didnt have Maddison, Udogie, Van den Ven, Vicario. Any comparisons for me dont make sense.

Shout out for Porro. So ironic that he looked out of his depth defensively with a coach that is known for improving defenders. And has looked like a cracking RB under an attacking coach. Part of it I’m sure is him naturally adjusting. But still… it’s night and day. I love seeing him so passionate about the defensive side of his game.

Not at all Japh, I actually agree! But come on mate he’s got a hit-rate of 1 out of 4! Let’s not pretend he covered himself in glory with the 3 previous appointments! But yes you’re right; Levy deserves huge credit for bringing him to the Club. Ange is absolutely brilliant; a breath of fresh air who’s got us falling in love with our team again by playing football the Tottenham Way. All the more reason then, wouldn’t you say, for Levy to back Ange with the players this brilliant manager wants and needs? And if he doesn’t, if he fails to give Ange say, the second CB he’s been asking for, I’d hope you and your pals would put your loyalty to our brilliant manager and the exciting team he’s forging before your loyalty to Levy and the Board and call them out for it instead of trying to excuse or justify a persistent failure to give successive managers want they need. It would be a crying shame if Ange is left short just when he’s giving us our Tottenham back. It’s already clear he deserves better than that.
I'll be honest mate, it's good to see you actually post, I did wonder if you might be a neg repping AI! :cautious:

He does occasionally and they’re normally measured posts, he gets a bad rep on here for his ratings of posts but when he does post he gets his points across well and respectfully to the posters he’s replying to

Agree with pretty much all the deservedly positive comments and it's so fucking nice to look forward to each game, knowing that at the very least we will be entertaining.

One thing I will add is that I assume Ange will cut out Vic's long punts - I think we lost the ball every single time from those.

Bring on the rest of the season - Audere Est Facere is truly back!
