This is the cut and dry of the point of the statement.

We told you a bunch of stuff because we are legally required to do so when somebody enquires about making an offer.

We told you that there is no actual takeover.

Here is some more info we are required to tell you after 10 days.

Absolutely, but I would think that would be unlikely.

That said, trustees can be removed by other trustees...

Only for mismanagement or neglecting trust duties from memory.

Anyway it is definitely interesting as you can obviously be both a trustee and a beneficiary. I can't remember how it's set up but there's always a possibility if Cain hoy do take over and want to have levy run things that they could set up a similar trust for him under the new ownership.

There was no actual discussions at that time. Said nothing about now. Makes me think takeover discussions have commenced.

They didn't say there was no takeover- 10 days ago they were not in takeover talks- big difference. As others have said- Lots could've changed by now

That is such a pathetic reason to conconct.

As if there were no contract negotiations at the club that summer because of Levy's personal troubles!

At any company, at any one time, lots of people will be dealing with personal troubles but it doesn't mean that everything gets put on hold for months and months.

Criticise Redknapp for his faults all you like but this sort of crap is absolutely disgusting. He had every right, just like any player, to ask for a new contract when his old one was running down.

It wasn't 'concocted', it was true. Redknapp's agent (same as Rooney's) called Levy directly demanding a new (massive) contract when he had taken a couple of days away from it due to his mum. Levy was very upset and furious with Redknapp. This was just after Redknapp didn't get the England job as well as losing another massive lead over Arsenal for third.

I know this first hand from the guy who wrote Rooney's autobiography who I have worked with. It's pretty well known in football actually. It's not made up.

This, along with Harry throwing away third and then fourth, his inability to keep his mouth shut about anything, his waste of probably the most talented squad we've had in decades, his obvious and repeated attempts to get the England job, his confirmation that he would've walked out on Spurs, his apparent disregard for the way the club and Levy stood by him throughout his trial and heart operation, along with a desire to get in a new, young coach who could build a legacy, was what got Redknapp sacked.

It was not one incident, and I don't know why people ever suggest it was (like how Mullers just repeats 'he didn't get CL so Levy sacked him' every other post he makes even though it's bollocks).

So you decided not to read my post then??!?!

Which part of GOING BY HERE AND COYS do you not understand?

The bit where you suggested nearly 100% of Spurs fans want this to happen to get rid of ENIC.

Even on just two forums it's nothing like 'nearly 100%' in a billion years.

What is absolutely clear is, there is a offer from Cain Hoy and is real. This is no PR stunt as suggested by very few.
Whether Spurs will respond is entirely different matter.

Not yet there isn't. They are still considering whether to make an offer. When they make an actual offer (which they may well do), we will hear about it pronto, because they will be legally required to declare it. But as of now, no offer has been made and CH have not yet confirmed their intention to make an offer.

You would throw yourself under a high speed train to prove this wasn't happening.

Thing is @davidmatzdorf isn't trying to say this isn't happening.

He is stating that "here are the facts we know" and not getting carried away with anything else. Throughout the entire thread he has explained various things as they are happening to numerous people.

But he has always just stuck to the facts, they are considering an offer (we know this because of the first release), THFC are taking the necessary legal steps (we know this from their releases). But they haven't made an offer (because they would have to announce doing so) so there is a chance that they may not go forward with it.

He hasn't been saying that this won't happen, or can't happen....just that factually it hasn't happened and there is a chance it may not happen.

Truth be told, he is probably dealing with the whole situation in a more rational manner than the rest of us seem to be.

How soon legally do CH or spurs confirm offers is there a time frame on this DM

I agree with what you say there, except his position has gone from outrage that a hack would suggest it, to the Cain Hoy statement being a hoax/publicity stunt to now screaming there has been no bid.

There may well have been no bid (at time of writing) but you'd need to be a bloody minded ostrich with your head in the sand to deny that there is something underway here.

These guys are not tyre kickers.
This isn't West Ham announcing they're putting in a bid for Beckham.

Screaming 'there's been no bit yet' is embarrassing, we know that, but there is a process underway and that's not for debate.

what is it then?

I don't know, and unlike you, I don't care - why don't you do a thread with a poll?

All I know is it's certainly nothing like 'virtually 100% of those on SC and COYS'. That's patently ridiculous. You don't speak for me, for example. And I know I'm not the only one.

I'd suggest those wanting ENIC out are a vocal minority of maybe 30% of Spurs fans?

I agree with what you are saying, with one caveat - I suspect they are negotiating a purchase price with ENIC (Lewis/Levy) prior to making an official offer. If/when they make an offer, it will be a done deal. So, we won't hear anything officially until there is a sale, or they have decided to move on. I expect that we are at a stage where they may have executed some non-disclosure agreements so that ENIC will disclose more financial information about the club, and the various subsidiary companies who are holding all the real estate. That gives Cain Hoy a clearer, updated, picture of ENIC that cannot be gleaned from previous annual reports.
