I'm coming in from Canada in 10 days to watch the NLD (my first ever spurs game) and I was wondering what camera(s) I'm allowed to bring in to the stadium.
I will be bringing my D60 with a few lenses, my Olympus tough TG1 and my iPhone.
Will I be able to get away with
the D60 with a telephoto lens?
Or the D60 with a small wide angle lens?
Or just the Olympus
Or even just my iPhone?

I can't seem to find anything on the clubs website on this. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

The rules governing photography at Football League or Premier League grounds are:

No person (other than a person who holds an appropriate licence) may bring into (or use within) the Ground any equipment which is capable of recording or transmitting (by digital or other means) any audio, visual or audio-visual material or any data or information in relation to the Match or any aspect of it.

However, Mobile telephones are permitted within the Ground, provided that they are used for personal and private use only PROVIDED THAT no audio, visual or audio-visual material captured by a mobile telephone may be published or otherwise made available to any third parties including, without limitation, via social networking sites.

Personally I think it's pointless trying to prevent people taking photos. Most clubs will turn a blind eye to photography using point and shoot cameras, anything that looks professional may have more of a problem. I've never encountered anyone being told off for taking photos though.

Telephoto lens may be harder to justify than a small wide angle lens or Olympus.

I have taken cameras in before, but I dont thibk you will get in with any that have a detachable lens. I would stick to a small one or your phone.

You won't get away bringing in anything bulky-just bring the Olympus and iPhone but once it starts you won't be taking photos- you'll get caught up in the game

I'd be more worried about it getting damaged or nicked.

I've taken in a prosumer zoom before - it's almost compact and has decent zoom. But it's a lot cheaper than a proper SLR.

Go to the contacts section of the website and put your case forward, see what they say. As you are coming from Canada you never know.

I've been to the Lane many times over the years (from Ireland) - practically always with an SLR/DSLR and lenses - normally 200mm/zoom and have never had a problem, even though they've often been seen during the bag check.

However, I carry them in a normal rucksack, rather than a dedicated camera bag, so they're mixed in there with other day tripper's paraphernalia, including Spurs shop purchases!

ThAnks for all the replies. I can't wait for the game (it's my first time ever to watch a English game in person). Actually because they changed the game to Sunday I also managed to snag tickets to Chelsea vs west brom on Saturday also.
1 weekend and I get to watch 3 of the top 5 teams in England. Lol

On a side note, I can bring in a back pack to the game?

Hope you enjoy it mate and welcome. My advice is not to bring a camera at all, just enjoy the occasion. The derby is a special game, you don't need to be worrying about cameras.
