Because according to the Man of the Match/Ratings thread... we're the only ones who have gone with Zokora as MotM.

Don't get me wrong, The King and Woody were outstanding, but Zok was EVERYWHERE.

He is quickly becoming my favourite Yid.

Oh, and whilst I'm on here and this thread will probably get locked... I'll admit it.

I cried! :hump:

he was also hoofing the ball to no one, and losing the ball, also missed a sitter (though build up play to it was great!!

good player, good game for most of it, but no where near man of the match performance IMO

Yid-ol he was quality.

but he still hoofed the ball away when having time to bring it down, and lose the ball at times, and miss a good chance

as i said, he had a good game, but nowhere near as good as some others

He was brilliant, broke up play, always available. Sure he missed, but he wasn't expected to score, so it's hard to be overly critical.

Was this in the 93rd minute? Fuck me, if him hoofing the ball is reason enough to dismiss him as a potential MotM, then fair enough.

How much did you see of Michael Essien, Mikel Obi and Frank Lampard?

Zokora DOMINATED the midfield. His work OFF the ball was scintillating. His work on it was quality too. So he missed a great chance, and should have rolled Aaron in... But he was getting into those positions when no other fucker could. His energy was the sole reason I was adamant he had to start.

Do, do, do, do, do, Didier Zokora!

Let's not argue though... WHAT A BLOODY DAY! Just in... Not too drunk either! Dunno if that's a good or bad thing. I'm sure in the morning it'll be a good thing!

i did say he did well to get into that position, and we coudl expect him to miss even if it was an open goal

he did break up play and avalable and ran about working hard, but you cant just ignore the other parts of the game where he hoofed the ball away needlesly so we lose control of the ball, and the 2 stupid freekicks he gave away 9though that might be down to the pitch... still 2 in matter of munites is abit stupid)

as i said, good performance, i am not arguing that, all i am saying is he wasnt good enough IMO for Man Of the Match as there were afew other players ahead of him and worthy of getting it

wasnt just the 93rd minuite

and i stil lam not saying he didnt play well and work his socks off, i have said that on a number of occasions in this thread, but there are still too many small mistakes in his game that need to be ironed out

He's been good for a long time now! It's only when we win that people realise this.

I missed this argument, as only just back, but just posted a similar point in the match rating thread

Thought Zokora was immense, definitely our man of the match. don't get the negativity about him - he was everywhere
