Tottenham linked with another Gers player
There could be a new team playing in the FA Premiership next season, they would be called Tottenham Rangers. Well it could happen after Spurs were linked with another Gers star.
First they signed Alan Hutton, then they were linked with Allan McGregor, now it seems they have shown an interest in Clydesdale Bank SPL and Football writer's player of the year Carlos Cuellar in a £10 million move.
After paying £9 million for Hutton, Spurs are said to be willing to put another £10 million into Rangers' bank account to secure the services of Carlos Cuellar who Rangers signed for £2.37 million from Osasuna last summer.
Cuellar has had a fantastic season for Rangers and has been an absolute rock at the back. His form has seen him scoop the Clydesdale Bank SPL player of the year award and more recently, the football writer's player of the year.
If Spurs were to land him for £10 million, and McGregor for £5 million, that would have boosted Rangers bank account to £24 million, all thanks to the big spending London club. Not a bad return for two products of the youth team and a player who cost £2.37 million.
