I see this has been posted in the European Super League thread. Apologies for the duplication, but what an arrogant prick!

“What would Manchester United argue: did we create soccer or did Leicester create [it]?”

Neither, you clown.

lol. Wish all the American owners would fook off. Why are they so interested in football now? ££££'s

Reading about the Liverpool owners describing the club as 'the asset' in court. Presentations about turning fans into customers. Its just annoying.

I would never want an owner that doesn't turn up every week like the other fans. Knock Levy and Abramovich but they are always there. Not twice a year.

These greedy Americans just don't get our idea of competition.

Wonder if Chelsea and City would feel the same pre sugar daddy days when they werent even guaranteed a place in rhe premier league let alone champions leagie and similarly scum and utd pre wenger/fergie when they were regularly languishing mid table. There success is a relative snapshot of the history of footbal and as for Liverpoool has been a few years since they were consistently in the competition themselvehe level of arrogance and greet people makes me sick and is what is killing football.

This is all because the new TV money is levelling the playing field and Fair Play rules take away the sugar daddy advantage so looking at another way to keep the foreign investors happy. Imagine how dull the league would be without the fight for CL places.

Dont put Americans into the same category as businessmen. Most Americans who follow football completely disavow this shit.

The worst thing about all of this is that I actually end up with quite a big degree of respect for Arsenal.

you utter bastard! I was happily rating posts and reading comments but no; you had to go force the issue and now i actually have to read the fricken link! you utter utter bastard!

;)

*Edit: well read that crap now and he is the epitome of a capitalist: he pretends to want competition but in reality he wants a monopoly. Use any trick to keep the largest number of fans interest and then charge the earth for hats and tut every game. Fuck him and his "closed system"!

I so hope hope Leicester make the Champions League, finishing below us of course, with all this talk of creating a closed tournament because all these American owned clubs are so badly run they can't compete with the likes of Leicester

The problem is that our football is being taken over by financial interests from abroad and could end up losing its identity. If the supposed big clubs did break away the magic would go and many people in Britain would lose interest. We would have a situation where the clubs could be based in England but would be financed and supported primarily from abroad. If that happened I would have to find a new hobby like bird watching or collecting teapots!

The reason these clubs have become so big is because of lack of competition due to the champions league. The year that it looks like changing they want to change the rules.

I will not watch whatever that two bit trophy competition he is in charge of.
