I'm nursing a black eye at the moment simply for suggesting we cancel the 2 week holiday to Dubrovnik next Thursday so I could o to the game. Suffice to say who wears the trousers in this marriage.

Dubrovnik is great but you don't need two weeks there. Tell her Madrid has far more to see; perhaps do so via text message if you value your other eye.

Have a look at Humberside Airport. They do KLM flight via Schipol (Amsterdam) Still about £400 depending when you want to go. But at least you may get a flight?.

I'm now caught in limbo.
I've got a PPI claim in at the moment and I won't know until the 30th May how much I'm getting.
It could be £1000+ in which case the whole trip would be covered.
It could be £100, in which case I can't really afford the trip.

The trust have been advertising a decent looking deal with a coach firm think it was £300 in total

  • Leave around 9am on Fri 31st
  • Get to Madrid around 7am on the Sat,
  • Day in Madrid
  • Coach back around 1am on the Sun
  • Gets back to London 11pm on the Sun

Regular breaks every 4 hours and would mean sleeping on the coach but if there's any chance of a ticket that looks like the best option so far

Plupper went to Prague on the coach when we played them and it took 25 hours, 5 more than it should have done because the **** of a driver got lost!
Anyway, a coach trip to Madrid is out of the question for me, I ain't sitting for 27+ hours on a charabanc.
They must be showing it at the Lane for a tenner a seat.

What happens if we leave the EU before 1st June can we expect Spanish government to put extra tax on UK football fans entering the country unless we give up Gibraltar;)

So a quarter are over £380; I wonder how many people will go for that price if they can’t afford it and would sell it on knowing it will be difficult to sell it on as the ID checks will probably be quite stringent.

Hopefully enough are put off that it somehow goes down to 151 points :cry:

Hmm I need it to go a tad lower to 120 odd.

It's hard to tell because it looks like some of the tickets have gone "missing". Out of the allocation 13% is normally given to our premium ST holders, which would leave 14,453 for the rest of us. And they've just updated the points totals to show that only 12,904 have 200+ points. And yet the initial cut-off is 209? That's at least 2.5k tickets that seem to have gone somewhere else, whether it's extras for premium people, club partners or whatever other crap.

Assuming that they don't just get allocated to us again later and there's really only about 12k available, then I'd need 7k out of 19k to turn tickets down, you'd need approximately 11.5k out of 23.5k. If there were actually 14,453 available, that would only be 4.5k/9k we'd need respectively which looks a lot more doable.

I can still see out of the other eye so I am reluctant to suggest it to her. Could you pop round and negotiate for me please?

Normally?
We haven't ever been to a European cup final?

As in, for general away games. 13% is what they've told the Trust on numerous occasions goes to Premium members, the rest to ST holders (and then down to OH members etc if needed).
