Probably because we've played the most games!
It's the percentage that has come in the first 15 mins that is the real worry. In 12 games we've conceded 7 goals in the first 15 minutes of play, it's hugely disproportionate.

Was woken from a dream this morning, Christian Eriksen had just fired in a leveller from just inside the box to make it 1-1, momentum seemed to be heavily in our favour.
Sadly my dreams have been anxious ones about where I'm going to watch it and not about the game itself. I'm eaten up.

No team has conceded more goals in this season’s Champions League than Tottenham Hotspur (17). 41% of these goals have come in the opening 15 minutes of games (7/17).

That is a hell of a stat that we cannot afford to repeat. Why have we started games so poorly this season?

Sorry to bring a downer on the big build-up thread
No need to apologise for stating facts. This shit is real and unfortunately could happen again on Saturday. Lets hope not though

Like a lot of stats these days it misses some context.

We've conceded the most goals in the competition because we are one of four teams who have played the most games however conceding goals in the opening 15 mins is a concern.

To be honest, we tend to do better when we are chasing a game rather than defending a slender first half lead. In the past we have taken the lead and then had the wind knocked out of us when the opposing team scores and we lose grip on the game, we've done significantly better when in the 2nd half and gone on to get a result with momentum on our side.

Clearly i'll be shitting myself if we score early.

Think, alas, cold hard likely hood of Liverpool scoring a goal or two in the first half hour.

They'll tire, we'll come into it end of first half. Smash 'em second half, level up the score...

... And then fuck knows.

This is how I see it also, aslong as we're in the game at half time, just don't go two goals down.

Liverpool is selling this on their website, which seems a tad presumptuous.

Liverpool are flying out on the Friday because Klopp wants the preparation to be like other games. We fly out Wednesday. Big mistake by Klopp imo.

Or it gives Scouse fans an extra 2 nights of trying to keep our players awake etc.

Theyve been in Spain the last week or so, so i guess they have already acclimatised to the weather

I think it was a big mistake for us NOT to travel earlier and acclimatise. It will be 34 degrees on Saturday perhaps cooler in the evening but still pretty warm.

Pretty sure that’s not how acclimatisation works. They will have been back in Liverpool for 7 days. If anything it’s probably a bit confusing for the body to go back and forth. Plus it’s actually not starting to get really hot their till tomorrow so I’d say we’ve timed it perfectly.

Im not sure how acclimatisation works im just going ont he assumption that training in hot weather would help you get used to the weather you will be playing in - but I could be wrong.

I didnt know Liverpool were back in Liverpool, I thought they were going from where they are in Spain to Madrid... thats a bit stoooooopid
