Watching the goals now. There's some (typically) shocking defending from Chelsea.

I wonder if Cahill's thinking: 'What the fuck have I done?' yet :)

As he's earning a lot more money than he did at Bolton and isn't going to be gracing the Championship next season, he's probably fine.

They may well be wankers, and a little past their best now, but Cashley's probably still the best LB in the EPL, just, and Fat Frank remains a quality CM. Isn't it a little rash for a young, very inexperienced manager to antagonise figures like them, not to mention Alex?

As I said he probably at the end of his rope. Lost loads of my respect when he put them all on in despiration IMO.

To be honest, you have to feel a little for AVB, he inherited the poorest Chelsea squad for years, and a lot of that wasn't his fault. But I don't think his tactics and use of his resources has always been good either, and I don't just mean his use (or not) of the older players. That's never an easy call as Ferguson has also found out. Your new guard clearly aren't as good as the old guard were at the same stage, and the old guard aren't as good as they were at the same stage. Hobson's choice.

Actually I'd like them to get through to another round so that they would be more pre-occupied to be able to catch us in the league.

:eh:

I can't see them picking up any form in the league anytime soon. I think they will go all out for the F.A Cup. I think in the league everyone is going to take points off of each other, can we really see us losing 4 games and Chelsea gaining up those 10 points, 11 if you count goal difference. I can't. By next weekend, we will have played Arsenal twice, Liverpool twice, Man City twice, Newcastle twice and Man United twice. With Chelsea being the only team left in the top 7 we have left to play:up:

A friend was discussing this with me earlier, he doesn't understand why Chelsea don't play similar to us. Use Mata in the hole behind Torres and Drogba/Sturridge, with a holding trio of Essien, Lampard and Meireles. It would also allow their full backs to get forward more with the 3 in midfield being able to drop back if needed.

Can't believe they didn't get Torres on tonight, Drogba looked poor.

Catching us is not a possibility.
Chesea can go through if they score two and if they can stop napoli scoring; but we all know that they can't.:)

To be honest I'm more worried about the trip to Sunderland in a few weeks than either Arsenal or Chelsea! There's no longer any reason to fear either side.

Such an odd game last night, Gary Neville had it right with "basketball".

I can't remember a game so open for those 20 or so minutes in the second half.

Perhaps Spurs (6) v Reading (4), but even that wasn't as crazy.

LOL! Are you having a fucking laugh?

Limitless funds, limitless pay, great wages, a squad full of talented players at the club...why feel sorry for him again? He's the manager, if the squad isn't right, he is the one who has to fix it and he has all the tools at his disposal.

I feel sorry for David Moyes. That's who I feel sorry for. Probably has to bring his own bog roll in with him for a shite.

Basel - Bayern is a fantastic game. Stands 0-0, should be 2-2. Fantastic goalkeeping from both sides.
