I think we can beat utd, but to beat city away from home without Adebayor will be too much to ask. Ade makes us tick as a team and city are really strong.

However, one game doesn't make a season. We have earnt the right to be considered challengers and I'm loving the optimism on here. Ultimately things like bad luck and tossers like Foy could make the difference between 1st and top 3...

Well, I did say, immediately after we signed Ade, that our chance of beating them oooop North might be strnegthened if we add someone capableof covering for/competing with Adebayor in January.

But, and this really needs to be stressed, it is a feeling I have, and therefore not wholly dependent on rational argument.

I think we're in a better position for giving Utd a good game than we ever have been. As for City away, do we not have the benefit of them having some ACN players?

Remember, we stand to gain from our competitors sending players to the ACN. Apart from Liverpool who have the whitest team in England.

PS - what's the point in aiming for 3rd when you're 3rd already? Aim higher!

If we can keep our 1st XI fit then I honestly believe it is the best side in the league but there are 2 problems

We have to go to Man City without Ade (who is on loan so we can take points of the other top 4, for City!)

I don't think the players think they are the best side in the league. When they walk out at Anfield, Stamford Bridge,Cashburton Grove do they really believe they are the better team and should be winning

If you put our players in Man U tops with Fergie they would win the league. The crowd, the players, the manager believe and that is everything

Do we all believe:-|

Yes, and it is also true that that game occurs at the end of an incredibly difficult run (on paper) for them, and at the end of a (relatively) easy run (on paper) for us.

There are many factors that will affect the outcome of that match (how much they pay the officials :bang:), but I honestly believe our lot will really want to put that hammering at the lane to bed.

We have a hellish couple of months coming up. I think we'd need to get more points from the second half than the first. I don't see that happening.

Potentially we can get 44 points from 1st Half of season through a win at Swansea and a win against Everton at Home ( game in hand). Mancini has stated that 90 points will be bare minimum to win title this year, so that leaves us with 46 points to get in the second half, which when you consider we have to go to Chelsea, City, Arsenal and Liverpool, this may prove a mighty challenge.
