Huddlesfield deservered to go up they have been in the top 6 in the championship pretty much all season. They might have abit of a problem now though as aren't a lot of their squad on loan.

Glad Huddersfield won but think they'll struggle next year.

Having said that, if they have a bit of cash then there isn't an obvious relegation target next season.

Newcastle and Brighton will spend and the weakest three went down this year.

If I was Watford I'd be worried.

I'd also be worried if I were playing in a huge, soulless athletics bowl with pissed off fans and the chance for things to go very wrong very quickly if I started badly...

Congrats to Huddlesfield... What a fantastic win. They were the better team in the 120 minutes... But personally... I thot Reading would have gotten over the line.

Huddlesfield missed a couple of great chances.... Just felt reading was gonna get a scrappy goal... And when they missed their 2nd penalty, u just felt it was readings day... But somehow.... They missed their last 2 penalties and Huddlesfield's fairytale came through. Unbelievable...

Over forty odd years since they have been in the top flight and next year they will make more money than they have in all those forty odds years added together.

Huddersfield deserved to win. Reading were a little fortunate to make the final to be honest, would have liked to have seen a Fulham/Huddersfield play off.

Huddersfield in the Prem eh? That's got to be one of the most incredible stories for a while.

I'm happy for them.

My sister's entire family are Reading fans so they will be deeply upset, but this has been a long road for Huddlesfield, and is good for the English game.

Now Huddersfields biggest challenge is keeping David Wagner!
Apparently quite wanted by a few clubs back home in Germany.

I think they were almost resigned to losing him (and a few of their German players who may have followed) if they hadn't got promoted. However after yesterday I can't see what reason he'd have to leave a club who he has guided in to the biggest league in the world for the first time in their history. It would be absolutely massive for his profile, and he'd only have to go as far as to ask his best mate about the Premier League.

I think Watford will be OK. Silva will do well there and they'll stay up without being in too much trouble. The chairman will then sack Silva as he has done the last two managers who kept them in the Premier League.

Reading in the PL again would have been a bit dull and meh, but I can't stand Wagner. He's an absolute bellend cut from the same model as Klopp, and the way he influenced the relegation battle by effectively throwing the game against Birmingham was a disgrace. I was hoping Sheffield Wednesday would go up.

Ashley seems like he'll spend, Newcastle will probably stay up fairly comfortably, and I hope Brighton do too.

I don't have any issue with what he did against Birmingham. Clearly with the high pressing his squad were looking a bit tired by the end, and if he hadn't rested them they probably wouldn't have won the playoffs. His job is to put his club first - if you want to change the rules that's fine, but you can't blame the manager for giving his team the best chance possible. At the end of the day Blackburn went down because they've been chronically mismanaged by a bunch of clueless chicken farmers from India, not because Birmingham had a single lucky game against a weakened team out of 46.

Does the Championship have similar squad registration rules as the Premier League? I don't like when the Football League or the FA start trying to tell managers who they should pick for games, but Wagner could have made those changes against Wolves or Cardiff where nothing was riding on the game other than Huddersfield's playoff ranking.

Both Blackburn and Birmingham have suffered from the poor management of their owners, but ultimately Birmingham have profited from playing Huddersfield that late in the season. It doesn't sit right at all.
