Pretty sure Champ Man is just a mobile game now

I knew about this yesterday but couldn't say owt. Poch was meant to be doing press but it's all been cancelled due to the current Mitchell stuff, I've been told. That may just be an excuse to the PRs as I'm pretty sure he has a game to prepare for o_O

No proper FM announcement yet, altho there is a logo: https://www.facebook.com/fm2O17/

Ah right, I thought I read somewhere that FM's future was in doubt due to the EU exit, no bloody idea how that works out though..

It's true - came direct from Miles Jacobsen who's one of the head honchos at SI. They're facing a multitude of issues, such as increased licensing costs (they're all paid in Euros or Dollars so hurt by the worse exchange rate), unpredictable revenue due to fluctuating exchange rates and a large proportion of their sales being outside the UK, import taxes on their own disks which are manufactured in the EU - with very limited capacity to do so in the UK - and being unable to hire European coders for all bar the most senior positions. If we leave the free trade zone completely the publisher, Sega, may decide it's not worth the effort and end the series.

Yep. Tho Miles loves an emotional response to anything. There's no way they're ending FM, it's a gold mine, they'll find a way around

It's a guaranteed big seller, SEGA won't give that up, or if they do some other publisher would snatch them up almost immediately.
