Looks like Mancini has stated that Tevez will never play for City again. I doubt that we will put in a bid, however this would allow a bigger team to buy and for us to get someone else.

Pointless topic. We can't afford his wages, we can't afford the transfer fee, and we aren't located in South America. It isn't going to happen.

would rather have berbaslag back, and he's just as big a prick. To think in the current climate were people in this country cant even get a job or losing there jobs, or people in the 3rd world literally starving to death and that little **** who is on massive obscene wages, is refusing to play a flipping game of football, a GAME

grinds my gears, if i was in charge of FIFA i would ban him from the game

Yes, if:

1. He buys out his contract at City so we can get him on a free.
2. He signs a pay as you play contract

Gonna re post what I have wrote on another thread, I highly doubt he will go to Tottenham anyway.

I feel sympathy for Tevez and this whole situation, he has said it for a long time now that he is home sick, and misses his family which will not move in with him in Manchester. Man city had a good offer from Corinthians which even though they tried to make work ultimately collapsed due to payment timing, when they could of easily accepted, even a lower fee. Tevez himself has no heart to play football anymore, and has stated that if he where to win the World cup he would retire on the spot. It has to be noted its not like he wants to move elsewhere for more money or more success.

I trust Tevez is being genuine when he says he wants to be with his family. He has said it for over a season now and Man city could of easaly granted his wish, by selling him to a team which would not rival them for anything in Brazil. Yes he has been unprofessional, but he is not being greedy, or being a mercenary, things which I think the man on the street think is wrong with modern footballers. The flack he has got for the whole affair is unwarranted.

I wouldn't take that little scum bag, that's a disgrace what he did tonight - player power gone off the richter scale now. That is a little cancer who would rip the heart and soul out of what we've created here.

Clearly been advised to do that tonight, all about getting them to drop their considerable asking price.

Think about it, if he really didn't want to play for not being mentally right he could of said before the game before team sheets were submitted. That was all about making a point with as much impact as possible.

Don't get this sympathy thang, too much...I mean, how difficult is it:

Citeh: "You do understand now, Carlos, if you sign this contract, you will be being PAID to PLAY football, and a long way from your family in Argentina".
Carlos: "Yeah, sure, I understand".
Citeh: "But you understand, it's in MANCHESTER, ENGLAND".
Carlos: "Sure, I sign, I play in MANCHESTER, ENGLAND before".

Later:
Citah: "CArlos, you don't seem happy, what's wrong?"
Carlos: "This MANCHESTER place...is a long way from Argentina".
Citeh: "Bring your family over...we'll pay".
Carlos: "No, they no like...is too much of a sacrifice to move to place where I paid £200,000 per week (sic.) to kick a ball...too much, I tell you...oh. You shouldn't have forced me to sign contract. Why you lie that MANCHESTER not so far from Argentina. No like funny blue sticky-tongue-out chicken badge...me no happy...me no play".

Good post. He is the epitome of all that is wrong with football.

Don't get me wrong, what he did was completely unprofessional, but you have to realize he is working in a job which breaks countless human rights laws, but gets away with it because of the nature of the game. Hypothetically speaking if I had some personal problems, with my family living away from me, including missing some key years in the development of a child, and they would not come to settle with me, I would do anything in my power to sort it out, even go on strike. Footballers have little power when it comes to these things. Family over football any day of the week, if indeed it is why Tevez wants to leave.

Thats a nice dialog but its not actually accurate, Tevez's problems started recently and he told the club and handed in a transfer request. He then withdrew it thinking the personal situation would be resolved, before handing in another transfer request after it didn't. He clearly didn't just wake up one morning and realize, wait what happened? Its clearly an on going thing. Peoples situation in life change, peoples opinion change. When you sign a contract some years ago, how do you know what will happen.

I do agree Tevez could of handled it better however.

The guy new he was signing up to play in England even if circumstances have altered for him. Many people experience hardships in life, I have my own regarding a two year custody fight, representing myself in court- because I can't afford legal representation anymore, over my little daughter. I don't expect special treatment from my employment because I have relentless stress and work involved in that aspect of my life. I get on with it, and I ain't paid two hundred K a week either

Yeah totally, no sympathy for them whatsoever. This is the downside to building a squad of players who have massive ego's and are paid so much money that it only grows the egos
