I can't imagine they would win an appeal to be honest, but who knows.

They will be missing drogba, obi mikel, essien, and kalou at the ANC. They would be screwed if anelka was to get injured whilst the ANC is running.

This has brightened up my day. It has made my man flu turn into a ordinary cold.

Can't feel sorry for them after all the scandal they have already drummed up in the past few years. It does smell of Fun Time Frankie's work too.

Something tells me they'll get away with it though... and the fine was peanuts!

I know it sounds like us being bitter Spurs fans but hasn't he been involved in this sort of shenanigans before? I'm fairly certain he was implicated in that Panorama episode where they outed all the dodgy blokes in the transfer market.

If (and it's a big if because we don't know what happened here) he was implicated in this then surely he should be given a relatively lengthy punishment himself.

club is jointly liable for it though so if the player doesnt pay then the club will have to.

im sure they didnt pull that figure out of the air either, you might find that corresponds to the 'inducement' that was mentioned

They've certainly got previous, even Ken Bates' Leeds refused to deal with them after they poached two of their youngsters and tried to nick Danny Rose too but he told them to get stuffed.
Same M.O. too as they got the parents first.

This was coming, as they have had several complaints made due to dodgy dealings, including the Jon Obi Mikel saga

To answer someones question about the title odds

From bettingzone.co.uk

1445: bet365 and Coral have eased the odds on Chelsea winning the Premier League title to 5/4 from 6/5 following the news that FIFA has banned the London club from buying new players during the next two transfer windows.

The shock FIFA move came after the Blues were found guilty of inducing a French teenager to breach his contract with another club.

Gael Kakuta, 18, joined Chelsea from Lens two years ago after which the French club lodged a complaint with FIFA.

The Blues remain clear favourites for the title, with Manchester United next best on 11/4, but Coral spokesman Simon Clare said: "Whilst Chelsea have a strong squad and have started the season well, this is still a major blow for a club blessed with such huge spending power.

"Chelsea would expect to challenge for all four major trophies and the January transfer window is an important opportunity to strengthen the team and solve any serious injury problems.

"It certainly can't help their Premier League title challenge and as a result we have pushed them out to an industry top price of 5/4 and are keen to lay them," added Clare.

However Blue Square expect Chelsea to get the ban reduced on appeal, making a reduction to one transfer window their even money favourite. It's 6/4 to remain at two and 4/1 to be reduced to no ban.

Chelsea and Abramovich will fight this, and probably win.

I wonder though. It seems like Abramovich has been quite uninterested in spending his cash on the team lately. This might give him an excuse.

Great day. :hump:

Could we be the next club FIFA target though, the more I think of it the more nervous i'm getting, just thinking of the Crouch deal, was that tapping up, Pompey ended having to let him go for less than the offer they got from Fulham because Crouch's head was turned by Harry and Defoe etc.

Be surprised if Fifa targeted us as we are not in the Champions league. Also not really sure if we did anything wrong in the Crouch transfer.

I reckon Fifa chose Chelsea to make an example of, also think that there's a lot more to this than what has been released so far.

Fifa have been making noises for a while now about stopping clubs from poaching oversees youngsters.

Portsmouth never reported us, so nothing can happen. They got O'hara on loan you know....

Didn't Sevilla report us at one point over Ramos? I think we've since settled things but I'm sure I read somewhere that they did. I could be wrong though, my memory isn't so good.

I would have assumed that Arneson will be responsible for some of what has happened to Chelsea. I worry thtah he may have conducted similar business here riorto jumping ship to join them. If Arneson is the main culprit. I wonder whether they will dig deep ito his dealings at previous clubs.

There is no way that this will stand. I might get down the bookies at 4-1 that there will be no transfer ban at all.

And i wouldnt mind betting that the fine gets reduced too. You just know that it will happen.

They can feel free to prohibit us from hiring a new manager for the next year. Most of us would welcome the stability
