The ref has to award cards or not, and make decisions, as he sees it during the games. At times we get the rub of the green, and some times we don't, a great example is Vertonghen's "offside" goal the other week.
sour grapes Jose, suck it up.
or is it part of the pre-match mind games that no doubt you will play ahead of Sunday
now jog on will you?

I still can't work out what actually happened. For all the world to me it looked like Barnes kicked the ball and Matic ran straight into his follow through. Either way, Mourinho has once again successfully taken the spotlight off a poor Chelsea performance and heightened their siege mentality.

I'll compile a dossier on the amount of times Mourinho should have been found guilty of outrageous hypocrisy, it runs into tens of hundreds of volumes and it will never end, he whinges and whines and shouts from the rooftops about opposing players doing everything wrong under the sun yet at the same time denying that his own players are capable or culpable of any wrongdoing.

He expects everything to go in his favour and he is never gracious in defeat as he seeks to blame anyone but himself or his own players.

He has the cheek to have a pop at City and the financial fair play rules as if Chelsea are paupers who are at a complete disadvantage and who have never breached the financial fair play rules themselves.

You can be sure that if Chelsea had been down to play a game on Thursday followed by a game Sunday followed by another Thursday before the League Cup final he would be bleating about the unfairness of us having significantly more days prep and less games to every media outlet who would listen and air his views. Does Poch do that ? No !

Whatever the result on Sunday we will always have more class and grace than Mourinho and the Chavs.

Classic Mourinho : everything he says is so calculated. Best case outcome from this is Matic gets his red card rescinded & he gets to play on Sunday. Worse case outcome from this is an unsettled Jan Vertongen, Spurs' best defender. Let's hope the big man from Belgium shrugs off Mou's BS & plays a blinder on Sunday! COYS!

Mourinho is so tiresome. The 2003 UEFA cup final is still clear in my mind where Porto's ultra-cynical tactics stole the result from Celtic. Nothing I've seen from any Morinho side since then has changed my opinion that that man is a scar on the face of the game.

I expect every club could compile a similar dossier. Chelsea maybe having a bad run with decisions (maybe) but it will pass and another team will start to get a bad run. Decisions are made by refs who are human and get things wrong. Of course, this season standards seem to have slipped (aka Jan's disallowed goal). But when it comes to fouls players dont help...rolling around in agony etc.
Having said all that I was disappointed in Verts reaction Sunday. Thats twice now (1 against Sheff Utd). He has to control his reactions as much as possible for the sake of the team. We need him next Sunday, and he needs to be aware that Mourinho will get the players to target him. We can be sure the pre-match chat will be dominated by this. Mourinho loves this school playground bickering....its not fair...he did it first...I'm going to tell my mum..blah bla blah.

And then the following year against Super Depor during the UCL semi finals :(

Fuck off Mou.

If there isn't a Campaign against Chelsea there bloody well should be. Bunch of tossers.

The fans are nobheads, the manager is a bitter hypocrite, the players are thugs.. I hope their moaning and abuse of referees in public backfires. More sendings off, more bans.. just kick them out of the league, bulldoze the stadium and remove them from history.

Two nice pieces - from the Mail  - that show Jose is a hypocrite.

'I find it hard to believe, however, that all these people - especially the manager - using very strong phrases didn't have any reaction at all at that live moment. I find that a hard one to accept. We can all use slow mo, things often look different. The likes of John Terry, a real warrior and a top class professional in my opinion, Zouma, big strong boys, Ivanovic, right on top of this moment. Jose Mourinho, similar view to me, the crowd behind me, circa 15,000 fans. No one reacts. Apart from Matic.'

For a start Vertonghen doesn't pretend to be injured then jump up and sprint half way across the pitch to attack Noble.
