By making the move to the ball must make him active, if he touches it or not. VDS doesn't move untill after Drogba swings a leg at it.

Not sure if Brown played him on. need to see it again

Well the better team certainly did'nt win today..... I still cant see past Manchester United winning the league. They are only 5 points off the lead, they have come back from far bigger points gap than that, and have not even played well this season so far. Owen Hargreaves will be back soon, he'll make a huge difference to that midfield. Obertan already looks a steal for what they paid for him.

FIFA has been adamant to the different FAs over the past year that to be considered interfering with play, you must touch the ball.

He could still be called for interfering with an opponent, but IMO he didn't interfere with VDS.

I would have been impressive if he did being the full length of the pitch away from him :wink:

There was a view from behind the goals, and it does look like VDS is watching Drogba to see if he gets a toe on before fully diving to his left.

If you must touch the ball to be active then that's even more of a stupid rule.
For me being on the pitch makes you active though.
