Just got back from the game, genuinely thought we were going to win this.

Was Davies injured? Very strange decision from Poch. If you want to play Son then play 4 at the back and drop Dier.

Ref was a c***

They took their chances and we didn't.

Er, it was a great strike, but I'm pretty sure, as good a goal as it was, they weren't awarded four goals for it...

They are just slightly better than us at winning games of football. That's a combination of things, mentality being one of them

I will agree to disagree.

Agree with them having an excellent mentality, but their win was one of those days in football where the better team lost. It happens.

Had we won they would be talking of us being so much better.

I dont get that. They couldnt prevent us from scoring today, and we should have scored 3 or 4. They are winners vevside they keep calm under pressure, but the rest is luck.

Im not criticising us, as I've said umpteenth times I'm real proud of us and we are such a good side and we are so close but to say luck defeated us is defeatist in my view.

They didn't prevent us from scoring but the scored two more than we did and it wasn't luck unfortunately... The four goals were four goals, they weren't contentious or anything. So where was the luck?

The difference is that they are winners we are not but on our way.

What else have to do is not drop our heads and get all depressed and/or angry like last year, we need to use this as motivation and push on to win our remaining 6 games. I truly believe we win them and we win the league. No one said winning the Premier League would be easy so let's turn up and beat the teams we have left!

I love this club and I love our current team and they all, as do we fans, deserve to win something and shut the rest of the idiot opposing fans up! COYS!

Well said. It's going to be hard to get over this but we've a job on our hands: fight and don't give in. Win our remaining games and see where we are.

As I said in the other thread, this Monday will be horrible, next Monday could be great. We have a chance - as slim as it is - of going top.

Eriksen and Dembele vie for MOTM... The latter damn near unplayable at times. Eriksen's ball into Dele was exquisite, just perfect, only the best can pull off stuff like that.

But when Hazard picked the ball up in that position, there was just this air of inevitability. Felt it too many times not to know what was coming.

I'm not sure I will ever understand Pochs' choice of a forward playing at left back.

I believe we will improve and win something eventually. Just not as it stands
we are not far off, we are the only team to play chelsea off the park twice, we seem to be beating poorer teams more frequently. Any player who wants to leave this special project have no loyalty. We are 1or 2players away imo.

Dominated but punished by a more experienced and efficient side.

Pochettino, whom I adore btw, made a big mistake playing Son - our least defensively aware player in the squad - in a defensive position. Lloris didn't cover himself in glory either and Dier struggled throughout.

But I can't fault our effort and desire; we deserved so much more. Special mention for Eriksen, who was superb

Think he just tried to shoe horn Son in somewhere due to his recent form. Glad he didn't go with a back to do it as well because we bossed the game. Onwards and upwards.

Depressingly predictable from Spurs. It never changes with this club and any Spurs fan who says otherwise is living in a dream world. Every year we are the nearly men. The guys that look good promising so much but falling short at the last hurdle. We lose the important games that really matter and nothing changes. I am devastated.

With a side void of experience, assembled inexpensively and threadbare in depth nothing surprised me with the result.

Bottom line is when you spend sixty odd million of essential transfer money on three players that can't buy a start then expect more of today when we meet bigger sides.

The other load of bollocks i heard was that we have to win something soon. I think weve done so well to break into the title race, along with managing a cup run whilst playing in Europe. The team is young and still can move onto that next level. Just need time a bit of patience and a few decent additions.

I think that's more about having to win a trophy soon to keep the players at the club.

As much as we like to think they all love Tottenham, I'm sure they look on enviously at utter shit like Moses winning trophies this season and thinking 'that's what I want'

Providing we make a couple of really good signings in the summer, I think we will win something next season. Even with the Wembley factor!

Another centre half, Dier can't be relied upon there imo, and pace up top, pace but with serious talent.

Three players around Hazard who a) don't stop the pass and then b) none of them even bother to track him as he gets the return . If just one of them does then the goal isn't scored.

At the very top, when it comes to winning things, it's often about the smallest moments and not having lapses in concentration because you get punished. You have to play as near perfectly as possible in all aspects. That's where it was lost today in avoidable moments and lapses contributing to the goals conceded.

Spot on mate - some players you can possible afford to lose concentration but against players like Hazard its fucking unforgivable - one of them simply has to take responsibility and at least try to make sure he's given nothing - Man United managed to see him off the other day and it totally nullified them.

Not if we experiment with a winger at LWB and then put a right sided full back in his place we won't. I couldn't honestly believe he was trying it in a game of this importance.

Yeah I just don't understand it. They say Davies had a slight injury, but he was fit enough to be on the bench.

Where's the best place to find individual player stats online?

Like how many fouls Luiz made. That kind of thing?
