At the risk of being decried as a Bolshevik, Chelsea really are very, very good. Especially at home. Plus, they're hurting and want revenge after our win at the Lane last time round. I reckon they'd beat most in current form, so no matter our performance we'll struggle.

Pray I'm wrong, though. Almost as much as I'm praying "England's bestest ref" doesn't decide to put himself in the spotlight as bloody usual with a random peculiar decision that decides the game.

EDIT: I'm actually wondering whether this isn't the type of game where we see all four of our strikers playing together, even if only for the last 10-15 minutes while we're chasing the game. That'd surely be some sight.

Don't fall for the media hype mate, they've been good, but they've also made very hard work of Hull, who are awful, and Stoke last weekend. Only one game they looked really good and that was the 2-0 win away at Fulham.

That said, they are a very good team, but they've by no means been playing brilliantly, and have probably had the easiest opening fixtures of any teams where as we've arguably had the hardest. We should represent the first real challenge to Chelsea this season, but we'll have to dig seriously deep to get anything today, as you say Oddie, they'll be wanting it today a lot. Especially as the Chelsea players class this as their derby.

Looking at the team we're starting with I'd expect us to revert to a 4-5-1 at time with Keane dropping wide left and Jenas coming inside with Hudd and Palacios.

There is talks of it being keane on the left with JJ, Palacios and Hudd at CM, Lennon on the right and Defoe up top on his own. Hope its not...

Why? They have no width down the right apart from Bosingwa, Chelsea play very narrow. Jenas in there to match up with Essien, Lampard and Ballack.

I didn't expect us to play with three central midfielders. Harry said we were going to go and attack. I expect that what we will actually see is Keane being told to drop and occupate the left hand side leaving Defoe up top on his own... which IMO won't work.
