We really are the ones without a seat at the striker table now that the music has stopped. Soldado is the only one left and there is no guarantee he even wants to leave Valencia. Who else is there? Kevin Gameiro? Would you guys take a flyer on Papiss Cisse? He was poo last year but he was class the years before that with Newcastle and Freiburg. Even punts like Altidore and Bony are gone.

I honestly don't see us signing a decent striker in this window! Saying that part of me is glad we didn't spend £25 million on Benteke as much as he was the striker I wanted us to buy at the end of the season £25 million was abit too much for him!

I reckon Villa's demands for a sell-on percentage was the deal breaker.

I for one am glad we didnt spend 22-25m on Benteke as decent as he looked last year.

Weve really been crying out for a Mata type as much as a striker and my feeling is if Ade is fit and raring to go at the start of the season were laughing. Spend far less on an upcoming guy for backup.

He wouldnt, but Levy would. As for him signing a new deal, we probably contacted his agent and said "Sorry, we tried, but your Club are just asking for too much", he then signed a new contract with Villa. We dont really know what happened but thats just what I think.
