I think that the vagaries of chance and officials' decisionsIt's a curious thing that last season's Southampton team had a reputation for conceding late goals (including against us) and this season's Tottenham team is developing a reputation for scoring them.
The suggestion was that Pochettino's high-intensity-pressing style was knackering his Southampton players, causing them to flag at the end of games.
Has he simply improved and developed his training methods? Is our squad better-suited, in terms of physique, for those methods? Is it just the vagaries of chance in football? Any other ideas?
