It shows he had a good work rate, which is all I was pointing out.

That's fine but you need to be mindful that no10's or playmakers normally look like they have high work rate because they are always looking for space to find the ball looking for gaps so they are constantly jogging around and on their feet rather than players who you'd think would be covering every blade of grass. Ozil usually has high distance covered for that reason.

Not saying Eriksen doesn't have a high work rate because he clearly does especially at Spurs but I see too many people using the argument as a defense.

It's not all about work rate. He intercepts and wins tackles (yes, actually) at a decent rate.

And again, the way he absolutely Sandro'ed Joey Barton before setting up a goal some weeks ago is one of the highlights of the season.

He has been the most frustrating of players though over the last couple of years simply because you know he has what it takes. He hasn't always stepped up but during this second half of the season he has been simply outstanding. Easily the best playmaker in the PL based on performances so far. Still heavily underrated by the press and good for us that he is. This is the kind of player that Barca and Real go searching for when they want to replace the Modric and Iniestas of the world.

He's the sort of player who, if I watched him playing for anyone else, I would almost certainly say "he looks like a Tottenham player". I remember saying that about Stan Bowles, Rodney Marsh, Le Tissier and Joe Cole.

He's just a pleasure to watch and I'm glad he is a Tottenham player. He'll get better too.

In very good form at the moment. Seriously underrated. Must be averaging over a goal or assist a game atm

Only thing, Would love him just to improve getting those corners past the first post. :-s

Noticed him giving the defence a bollocking for messing about at the back in the latter stages of the game. Loved that.
His style is understated and he seems such a calm and relaxed person but he's been a proper leader in his own way these last few months.
He's kept us on track in a way that is easily missed at times and he's playing with so much confidence since Xmas. He takes the game by the scruff of the neck nowadays (again in Eriksens own personal way) and is really maturing into an incredible player.

Love this guy, but can we please get someone else on corners, even the couple Davies took where more dangerous.

What a sublime player. Was a bit worry when he played Dembele position but.... in the end he played like a maestro. He can become Modric like soon.

Been consistently very good the last few months, if only he could maintain that kind of form over a whole season.

I think this season has really allowed eriksen to blossom into a fine player. before that he always showed his ability, just that he was rather inconsistent.

if theres 1 thing he could add to his game, its rediscovering that touch to score freekick.

especially in games where we are struggling to break down the opponents, a freekick/goal to break the dead lock is absolutely essential if we want to become top, top team.

thing is he used to be a freekick specialist. no idea what happened to him after he joined us. everything chelsea wins a freekick i get that ah FUCK feeling because players like willian are such fk specialist. we really need someone who can consistently score freekicks on our team.
