Really frustrating that we go after top talent then baulk at the price. What do we really expect?

Depends I suppose how much we really go after them, and how critical they are to our plans. As many have said in various threads do we really need him from a position POV if we get Grealish?

I thought Grealish was being considered for a CM role.

If they are both being considered for an AM role, then it Pulisic all day long for me. He is younger, and has been performing at a higher level for two years now.

Probably not. But unless we're going to spend big elsewhere (martial), then I'd much rather have pulisic than grealish. Don't get me wrong, I like grealish, but pulisic is younger, already his nations superstar and has already played at the highest level (champions league). Grealish is great as a creative signing to spend money elsewhere, but if we end up with grealish, plea and someone like gomes, I'd be very disappointed

Does anyone actually know what position they are being considered for? Either way Grealish can play higher up and we already have 5 players that can play behind Kane. Pulisic might be better than Grealsih but JG is home grown(much needed) and Pulisic is going to cost 2-3 times more.

Like I have said Priorities IMO lie elsewhere, and that is where what money we have will be better spent.

I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised with Grealish if we manage to get it over the line.

Priorities are at CM yet every ITK keeps hammering home AM’s. Sooooooo.

Cant wait to sign Gomes, Plea and Grealish. The more things change, the more they stay the same. We simply cannot expect to keep the players we have and keep Poch without showing even a little ambition in the market. Clearly, we dont have much intention of doing so. Levy is doing what he does and letting the pitch go by

If we buy a player like Barrios or Ndombele, we could play Eriksen in CM along side him and play Son, Alli,Pulisic in a interchangeable 3.

Kane
Son, Alli,Pulisic,
Eriksen, Barrios/Ndombele

That isn't the question. Cost comes in to it. Otherwise why not just go all out and blow a few hundred million on Mbappe.
There’s really no question about whose the better player and the better prospect. I cant imagine anyone truly belives Grealish is and will be better than Pulisic who is one of the most promising young players in the world. Grealish is a good prospect and a decent player but he is no where near Pulisic’s level

Can't he play both though. Grealish can cover both positions.

That would be a defensively weak midfield and I would be shitting myself every time we play a strong team.

Maybe, but to me, Grealish is a squad player who can come in and fill a role - and do that well. But I don't see him ever pushing one of our starters out of the lineup.

Christian brings us to that next level...pushing others for their places.... there's a price to pay for that, of which it now appears that we're not willing to pay?

I hope the goalposts have moved in this deal - as in an opening negotiable terms regarding the transfer fee. The player and his family have an astute understanding of making correct footballing choices for career development, hence my excitement for a deal to be struck.
