They're in serious shit if Roma win tonight, considering they still have a trip to Rome and welcome Bayern.

As has been said, if they didn't buy their way in to the competition, they wouldn't continuously get shit groups. No sympathy.

They are poor defensively. - why play two upfront?

That doesn't make much sense - they've been steadily improving their European coefficient (or whatever you call it) over the last few years. This year they were actually seeded quite high, but they were unlucky to get a tough group.

Still, I agree with you on the no sympathy bit though!

Yeah City were in Pot 2 and Roma in Pot 4 so it was just the way the draw panned out for them.

That said they really should be doing much better in the competition.

And I am another that has no sympathy for them.

Usually id share the no sympathy feeling here but my god that was a poor refereeing decision. It also cost me a big bet that I put on for Man city to win with BTTS so naturally I'll be pissed off also!

Mangala has been horrendous so far. Had one decent match, other than that he's been a huge liability.

If the winner of the Europa league qualify for champions league through their league position, does the winners champs league spot go to the runner up ?

They are outstanding tonight.

What impressed me most was the desire shown in the final minutes of the half... First you had Robben chase back 40 yards to dispossess his man, and then right at the end Alonso pushes right up to close down, they win it back and force another save. Just wouldn't happen with many teams.
