Dawson better than Richards? Nope, not having that either.

Seriously, some of you guys need to take off the tinted specs, or actually watch us play.
I've missed about two games this season, I watch every game I can, how dare you question how often I watch our beloved Spurs without knowing me. I find it sickening how quickly you turn on our players, our leader, our captain! You label players who play for our club "shit" with no evidence to support this, you call for us to replace our captain, who succeeded Ledley, who's served us since 2005, who's put his body on the line time and time again for our club for someone who's been made to look better by the players around him cause he has a bit of pace?! The man you call for is a heartless mercenary who's injured body will demand excessive wages because he's won a title won by Aguero, Silva, Toure etc
You attack the opinion of others without grace or integrity, fellow fans of the same club, as if Spurs don't get abused enough, on the day after our closest rivals win a cup and attack us on their day! I hate to attack others, especially fellow Spurs fans but your ignorance, your inability to understand the opinion of others, you don't have to agree, just argue your point with a grace and style that our club strives for.
We've had one of the most disappointing seasons in our recent history, we should stick together, yet you find it appropriate to disregard the opinions of your brothers and cry for players who would rip the heart and passion out of our club for a fat contract. Attitudes like yours are disgraceful to our club.
You're probably not a bad guy but you've caught me on a bad day after a shit season and at this moment I can't stand the bullshit of some our fans, how petty we act after facing brutal criticism from the morons at Arsenal and the likes of Redknapp with Sky Sports giving them every platform to gloat over us. Please, next time, think about how you appear to others because every fan represents their club and we all support the same club, we all have opinions so we must be open-minded.

Well that was really inspiring mate. Still doesn't change the fact Dawson and Naughton aren't good enough and no Martin Luthur King-type speeches are gonna change that.

Ever stop to wonder why we don't win anything? It wouldn't have anything to do with some of our players not being good enough, would it?

Get down off your soap box and join the rest of us in the fucking real world.

Absolutely fantastic post, some of our "fans" would do well heed that advice, no less than this @Davo99 guy who is unable to accept people's opinions in here and has been throwing his around like the gospel.

Questioning whether people watch Spurs games because they have the audacity to have a difference in opinion, Jesus Christ

You think Richards is the man to win us trophies?! You think Richards is this long awaited upgrade? Your opinion is not shared by the majority, I can see that by the ratings you've received compared to the ratings received by others you've argued with.
You have an opinion fair enough, but you tackled this post with an immaturity not befitting of a Spurs supporter and this is what I'm challenging you on.
I live in "the real fucking world" like you and it's filled with petty fans like yourself who rate players based on Fifa and then proceed to turn on your one of your own because they argue their own point and they don't just blindly accept your own opinion.

Edit: I'm done with this argument, I'm no longer replying, I've stated my point and if I say anymore I'm gonna regret it. This thread has already been ruined by arguments.

Where did I say anything about Richards winning us trophies? This is why emotional six year old girls shouldn't post on football fora.

You did say we didnt win trophies because our players are crap and then you want Richards, so either you think he is a good player that would take us to the next level winning trophies or he is shit

Surely Rodwell would still have something to offer? cant exactly be over the hill yet can he..

I think he has had a fair few Injuries too, its Rodwell im intrigued about myself. The man chased the cash and basically set his career back.

If his wages aren't to inflated we should give him a go.
That will be the key, the wages could be rather silly, but then do these players want to play football or sit on the bench or indeed not even be in the match day squad? I'm sure Rodwell was in and around the England squad before he went to City.

Lescott is not better then Dawson, and to be quite honest not that great. He is probably better than Chiriches, so if he's available on a free then he's a good option, especially considering how much Kaboul has suffered from his extended injury.

Richards would be better than either of our full backs.

Would totally take Gareth Barry, been superb for Everton this season. Sadly I'd expect him to return there permanently.

Dude, everyone has an opinion, there's no need for your condescending tone. Let's keep it friendly here.

I am of the opinion that Naughton is better for us than Richards at RB anyway, my opinion is based on the fact that Naughton has been solid this season and certainly not "shit" Richards has fallen massively out of favor at City, and I'm not willing to pay his wages due to his injuries and the fact he won't break into our first team. Going forward as a RB Naughton is technically better than Richards because Richards is a natural CB who, at CB, isn't better than any of our other 4.

Edit: Some City fans also seem to feel the need to question his attitude and after this season I have no time or patience for players with questionable attitudes. Naughton has done his job wherever he's been put, unfortunately he's been exposed at LB but he's never done a Jan and moan about playing out of position, he does his job for Tottenham Hotspur and that doesn't make him "shit" IMO In fact I bloody love him for it :)
One thing in Richards favour in relation to his 'questionable attitude' is that the boys wants to play football and is willing to leave to find it. Also given his position of RB/CB are occupied by 2 of the best in the world at the moment it's understandable that playing time is limited.

More than can be said of the football parasite that was Wayne Bridge. I'm surprised he noticed John Terry ploughing his missus while counting his loot.

I still think it's best to stay away from these players, mostly we're judging them on their 2011/12 season as none of them have played much since, Rodwell and Richards just seem too injury prone and after Lamela, Capoue etc went missing I'm not willing to lose any other players, I did like Lescott but when Mancini and Pellegrini consistently chose Nastatsic and Demichelis over him I started to ask questions, has he lost it? is his attitude poor? Sinclair just isn't good enough and in Capoue and Sandro and even Veljkovic we have many good enough young holding midfielders, there is no room for Barry.

Ask Gareth Bale which full back he found playing against most difficult.

We covered this already, that quote was a) 3 years ago and b) it's akin to when Tevez said Michael Dawson was the best defender he'd ever played against. :D

I don't remember Rodwell ever looking good really, even at the time it was an odd transfer.

I hear that Jamie Milner is unhappy about the lack of games he's getting at Citeh, he's one player I'd take in an absolute heartbeat.
