Ask Gareth Bale which full back he found playing against most difficult.

So because Bale found it difficult to get past a player (due his physical prowess and not his football ability) that means Richards is good?

The guy had some potential but now he's an afterthought and isn't better than Naughton who himself is nothing more than average.

His technique is disgusting and isn't better than Naughton (who has better technique than Walker).

I think he has had a fair few Injuries too, its Rodwell im intrigued about myself. The man chased the cash and basically set his career back.

Same with Sinclair and a few other players who thought it was a wise move to join the big money clubs. Rodwell, Sinclair & Richards could all be in the squad for the World Cup right now if they'd been at clubs they would be actually playing for.
Personally I'd look at taking Rodwell & Lescott. If Richards was happy to be cover for Walker then I'd take him too, but that won't be the case. Sinclair - no thanks...... Like someone already said, he looked good at Swansea because they played to his strengths. Even Routledge looked good for a season and a half with them!

I always thought Richards could make into a very decent CB. Strong, quick, tenacious, decent in the air and reasonable on the deck for a big lad.

Could he be worse than Dawson. ?

Quick prediction for Naughton... When he leaves, probably the next 2 years, will he find a club likely to finish in the top half?

Norwich is about his level. Walker has blistering pace which can cover for other deficiencies, likewise Richards however Richards has barely played a consistent run of games due to injuries and competition for the past 3 years. Naugthon on the other hand, for me, has found his level. West Brom, Sunderland etc. For all Naugthon's technique he still made more than his fair share of howlers last season. Then again aside from Erikssen not many in the squad have much to write home about last season. If we were to buy Richards it would simply be as an opportunistic purchase. £7-8m for an English player who is currently on £50k wages and desperate for first team football. Personally that's not too bad a deal.

I'm not rating Naughton as Top Four quality, he's average and Richards is worse.

I'd only take Milner from City's English core.

I hear that Jamie Milner is unhappy about the lack of games he's getting at Citeh, he's one player I'd take in an absolute heartbeat.

Totally agree. Only Milner would interest me from any realistic signing from City. None on this list.

Thought he'd be way too thick for your liking BC.

Lescott would be worth a look, but probably on redonkulous wages that would price him out of a move. Rodwell has flattered to deceive and Richards has become obscure. Sinclair I've never been overly impressed with either.

Lescott and Richards would definitely improve us.

We have better midfielders than Barry, Rodwell and Sinclair and they would only be squad players depending on departures. I don't think any of them three would come here when they could play every week for other top half teams, they'd make starting XI's of sides likes of Everton, Southampton, Stoke or Newcastle.

Aren't Richards, Barry and Lescott being released or out of contract? They may have been on massively high wages at City, but I'm sure they won't expect a similar amounts from other clubs - although being on a free could mean they end up with higher wages anyway.

Rodwell is probably the most intriguing of all the potential signings. While at Everton he was was massively hyped, much like Rooney was and Barkley is but lets not forget Franny Jeffers.

However since his move his development has stuttered.

The question is are you buying Rooney or Jeffers?

Richards has one year left. The other 2 are out of contract.

Yes, but I thought City said that they were going to release him rather then sell him so presumably they'll give him a pay-off to cancel his contract.
