Clive Allen has done a pretty good job with our reserve team. The only downside is that hardly any of those reserves make the breakthrough . Anyone know why ?
Anyhow I hope he stays. He is a loyal Spurs man . But would he not be better used as a strikers coach just as we have a goalkeeping coach ? As a guy who scored 49 goals for us in one season surely he could help Bent with his confidence and make Defoe time his runs better. He was also the focal point in Pleat's 4-5-1 formation so he should be able to advise on which of our strikers would be best suited to that role should Ramos use that system .
2 other points ;
What is Inglethorpe's role ? is he likely to stay ?
Surely we will not rely on Pery Suckling as Gk coach. Having had Pat Jennings and Ray Clemence in that position we need someone similar for that job. Hans Segers was hardly in that category. Any ideas ?

I think he will stay. I also think that the lack of players coming through maybe down to the lack of quality in the youth players we have.

Inglethorpe is the academy head coach and I would guess that the senior management at the club have seen in him something at may mean in the future he will take over as the first team coach.

As for the goalkeeping coach situation. I wouldn't know where to begin with who to get in.

I can't remember Clive running anywhere.
He just always seemed to be in the right place at the right time

I think Clive Allen has done well considering fringe first-team players never play for the reserves nowadays and the best reserve players are loaned out (e.g. Barnard, O'Hara). Think some of our prima donnas (Chimbonda, Zokora, Ghaly) would benefit from a (long?) spell in the reserves. Hope Allen stays.

Doesn't Inglethorpe report to Comolli (i.e. will not report to Ramos)? He came with a big reputation but I'm not sure that he has achieved much yet. Doubt if Wendy's arrival will effect his position.

Clive will go back to the reserves after sunday unless Ramos wants him to coach the first team. Imo the reserves and academy set ups will stay the same with Ramos bringing coaches for the first team, that is why Hughton and Segers got the chop.

Good call for Shilton PT. I like the idea of him telling it to Robbo how it is.
