Football club hires someone to "take responsibility for the leadership and management of our football activities".

 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Might have been a role to fill 20 years ago, Dan, the man with a plan 🤣

Good luck to him. It's one hell of a remit he's just taken on, to provide direction to a rudderless footballing operation

It sounds like Paratici, should he remain, will report to Munn. So, I take this as a good sign that Munn will be running the football operations - and not Levy directly.
My read on this is the club is not expecting Paratici back and consequently is planning ahead for that with several big decisions to be made.

Sounds like a job my kids told me they wanted to be when they were 5.

Daddy when I grow up I want to be Chief Football Officer.

I'll give it a year at most until he leaves. Levy can't resist dabbling and interfering
As much as I like this appointment, his lack of European experience could just make him a yes man for Levy - and Levy will just continue to dabble and involve himself in all football matters, and then blame Scott Munn for any shortcomings!

BUT I'm gonna think positively and even suggest this could be a big coup for us, someone who's hungry to prove himself! C'mon Scotty!!

That may be true - but Munn and Paratici have very different skill sets. So, even if Paratici leaves, we would fill his position with someone else.

(I think Spurs are hopeful that Paratici stays in his current role)

Danny’s inner circle are really trying to take the heat out of tomorrow aren’t they? In 48 hours we’ve now had this and ticket prices not going up.
Call me an old cynical bar steward…..

This could work out OK, as long as Levy doesn't tie his hands behind his back like he does with our managers

This seems to have caught everyone off guard. We’ve not had a sniff of this happening from the likes of Gold or Dan KP.

Seem to remember there being plenty of noise about Paratici before we appointed him, so we must have closed off a few leaks.
Yeah very much. Not a single mutter from ITKs or journos.

Which makes me feel like no-one has a clue who we are lining up as next coach.

So is this in advance of City Group investing in the club?
This looks to me like a condition imposed by a group who want to invest in Spurs. With all the talk a couple of months back about potential buyouts/ investment I can’t help but think this is part of a plan.

Hopefully it's a sign that we going to stop leaking shit all the time. Be a little more professional and just get stuff done

I don’t get this line of reasoning. Same was said when Paratici was appointed and the forum is still aflame with people bellyaching about Levy this and ENIC that.

People can’t have it both ways. They want Levy to step back from the football side, and then when he appoints a guy to do just that, they still moan and whine.

It's a lack of trust issue, and it's warranted due to previous, but I'm hopeful this appointment bears the green shoots we need as a club. Time will tell I guess
